About KOPILA Nepal:
KOPILA Nepal is a women-led non-governmental organization working for the empowerment and dignity of women, Children people with disability/mental health and marginalized groups in Gandaki Province. With a mission to break cycles of violence, poverty and discrimination, KOPILA Nepal combines service delivery, advocacy, and grassroots mobilization to create inclusive and resilient society.
In collaboration with the Center for Research on Environment Health and Population Activities (CREHPA) and University of Bath, UK, Kopila Nepal is implementing an intervention for a research study on Menstrual Health and Justice for all. The study aims to co-design and test an intervention that seeks to educate adolescent girls about menstruation and addresses the reality of pain, giving practical advice on healthy living so that girls will gain bodily autonomy and be empowered to get an education and claim their human rights.
Position Title: Facilitator
Number of Positions: 8 (Female only)
Major Responsibilities:
- Facilitate weekly group workshop with adolescent girls in the project area.
- Facilitate workshops engaging parents and relevant community stakeholders
- Maintain attendance records, session documentation, and feedback reports.
- Coordinate with project team and local stakeholders for effective implementation of the intervention.
- Attend one-week training on content, group facilitation skills, planning, logistic management, coordination and monitoring, reporting. Attend review meetings.
- Build good rapport with program participants, and other relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience facilitating group activities with adolescents, particularly in projects related to sexual and reproductive health and rights. Fluent in Nepali and English language.
- Familiar with the culture, language, and community dynamics of Kaski District.
- Willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekdays beyond regular 9–5 hours, and on weekends.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with emotional intelligence and sensitivity to issues affecting adolescents."
