PHASE Nepal is a NGO dedicated to support poor communities in remote areas of Nepal. Its target geographical region at present is mainly the middle hills; usually the most disadvantaged area of Nepal. It focuses its activities in the field of Health, Education and livelihoods improvement. Present activities are funded by PHASE Worldwide, PHASE Austria, NCF Ireland and CWS UK.
Present advertisement is for positions for the consolidation of its community development programme in remote VDCs of Sindhupalchok, Gorkha and Humla districts.
1 Post: HA/Staff Nurse (Health programme supervisor)
Number of vacant posts: 2
Based in: 25% in Kathmandu and remaining time visiting different projects in the field.
Roles and Responsibilities
• This is a supervisory position in PHASE Nepal and the job holder is mainly responsible for proper implementation of planned health activities on behalf of the organization and supervises other health staff in the field.
• Oversee the implementation, coordination, development, expansion, monitoring and evaluation of all health programmes within allocated resources and timeframe.
• Assist Executive Director in preparing various health programmes and reports.
Qualifications & Experiences
• HA or Staff Nurse Qualification with at least 2 years' practical experience in working in direct health programmme and or health supervisory role.
Required Competencies
• Good time management, staff supervision and clinical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skill.
• Capable of lateral thinking.
• Sharp, Bright and eager to learn.
• Positive attitude.
Starting Salary: Nrs 15,780/-
Benefits:
Field allowance @ 15% of starting salary in Sindhupalchok, 25% in Gorkha and 100% in Humla district (from start)
Food allowance @Nrs 1000 in Sindhupalchok, Nrs 2500 in Gorkha and Nrs 3000 in Humla (from start)
Accidental insurance of Nrs 6 lakhs (from start)
TA/DA facilities of actual transport cost and Nrs 500 per day for official travel days (from start).
Festival allowance@ one month’s salary on prorata basis (after probation period)
Provident fund facility@10% of basic salary (after probation period)
Medical facility of upto Nrs 10,000/- per year for actual expenses on prorata basis for employee and her / his direct dependents’ treatment cost (after probation period of 6 months)
Leave facility of 24 days of annual leave, 12 days of sick leave and 17 days of other leaves excluding Saturdays (after probation period of 6 months).
2 Post: ANM/CMA (Female only)
Number of vacant posts: 3
Based in: Any remote VDCs of Sindhupalchok, Gorkha or Humla district.
Qualifications & Experiences
• At least ANM or CMA degree plus 2 years' experience in clinical experience in directly treating patient.
• Candidates who have worked independently in government sub-health-posts or independently running
• Sharp, Bright and eager to learn.
Roles and Responsibilities
• The candidates have to work with the government health workers in the sub-health post as well as work independently in the out-reach-clinic established with the support of this organization.
• Should be able to run the health facility independently and should be confident in handling the medicines and the service in the sub-health post standard.
• House to house visit for health education.
• Health education to the school children.
• Conduct home deliveries as well as ANC – PNC
• Regular reporting
