Rural Oriented Youth Movement Nepal (ROYM-Nepal) is a non-profit making non-governmental national level organization established in 2009 which envisions a socio-economically empowered society with equality and social justice through its community based collective campaign to create an environment where marginalized groups can raise their voices for economic, cultural and social rights challenging the structural discrimination. It aims at reducing poverty through skill transformation and youth engagement. ROYM-Nepal supports the country in achieving the long-term Sustainable Development Goals on human rights, health, education, gender equality, water, sanitation, environment, social protection, justice and impact of climate change. In more than a decade of its working experience, ROYM-Nepal has been successfully carrying out different community-based interventions and socio-economic programs under WASH, skill promotion, self and gainful-employment, women health, and socio-economic empowerment in 19 districts of Nepal. 

Job Description

1. Position Title: Procurement and Logistics Associate

Location: ROYM-Nepal, Kathmandu

Reports to: Procurement Coordinator

Required Position: 1

Position Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Position

The purpose of the Procurement and Logistics Associate position is to support efficient, transparent, and timely procurement and logistics operations by coordinating the sourcing, purchasing, transportation, storage, and distribution of goods and services. The position ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and donor requirements while maintaining proper documentation, records, inventory control, and coordination with suppliers and relevant stakeholders. The role contributes to the smooth and cost-effective delivery of program activities through effective procurement and logistics management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Higher School passed with Bachelor’s degree or ongoing in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, FAMAS, or others) is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

2. Position Title: Psychosocial Counsellor

Location: Jajarkot

Reports to: Project/Program Coordinator

Required Position: 2

Position Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Position

The Psychosocial Counsellor will support people affected by disasters and emergencies to cope with stress, fear, loss, grief, and other emotional difficulties. The Counsellor will provide basic psychosocial support and counselling to affected individuals and families, with particular attention to children, women, older people, persons with disabilities, and other people who may need additional support. The position will work closely with the emergency response and early recovery team, local government, health workers, community groups, and other service providers to make sure that people needing further support can access appropriate services.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field. A Master's degree will be an advantage.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in counselling, psychosocial support, mental health, protection, humanitarian response, or community-based programs.
• Experience working with disaster-affected or vulnerable communities will be an advantage.
• Experience providing individual and group counselling is preferred.
• Good understanding of confidentiality, professional boundaries, and safe referral practices.
• Experience working with NGOs/INGOs or humanitarian projects is desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work respectfully with people from different backgrounds.
• Good report-writing and documentation skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to project communities and work during emergency situations when required.
