Multipurpose Development Society (MPDS) is a Nepali non-governmental, not-for-profit, social development organization, committed to driving positive change and empowerment in Nepal’s rural communities. The organization's vision is to envision a healthy, beautiful, peaceful, disciplined, self-reliant, exemplary, and dynamic society with gender equality.  MPDS has been working with the poor and marginalized people in Sudurpashchim province to empower them for the past 28 years.

MPDS is a sub-recipient of the Global Fund. It has been implementing the Strengthening Health Resilience in Nepal: HIV, TB, Malaria – Prevention Package for OVP Male Migrants India and their Spouses Program in Sudurpashchim Province and Karnali Province of Nepal with funding support from the Global Fund and in the partnership with United Nations Development Program (UNDP) from April 2025. MPDS has announced a vacancy for the following position to ensure effective project implementation seeking highly qualified and motivated Nepali citizen.

Details

1. Position: Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer

Required Number1 (One)
Duty StationMPDS Project Cluster Office, Surkhet, Karnali Province, Nepal
Minimum Required QualificationBachelor's degree in Public Health, Health/Population Studies, Social Science or a related field. (Master Degree will be preferred.)
Knowledge, Skills, Work Experience, and Commitment
  • At least 3 years' working experience in HIV/TB programs or related field after completing bachelor's degree and at least 2 years working experience in related field after completing master's degree.
  • Knowledge of program planning, implementation, monitoring, supervision and evaluation system and its tools.
  • Knowledge of HIV/TB Programs and Health Information System (DHIS2, HMIS) in Nepal
  • Knowledge of logical framework, quantitative and qualitive data collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation and dissemination methods.
  • Good skills in operating and handling the MS Office package, SPSS and digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with the National HIV Strategic Plan and its recording and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to conduct research, assessment, and surveys.
  • Knowledge of ensuring accuracy and consistency in data and reports preparation.
  • Knowledge of organization structure, system, and platform with ability to perform assigned task under any pressure to meet the timeline and achieve allocated target.
  • Competent in coordination, collaboration, and liaison with government and non-governmental line agencies.
  • Good skills in interpersonal communication, negotiation, team handling, mobilization and documentation.
  • Skills of report writing, data interpretation and presentation as requirement.

2. Position: Admin & Finance Officer

Minimum Required QualificationBachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, Work Experience, and Commitment
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in finance and administration within the development sector.
  • Knowledge and skills of budget preparation and controlling.
  • Knowledge of financial management and accounting principles.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing office operation, procurement, vendor management, logistic management and payroll.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing financial reports for organization and donors ensuring 100% compliance with grant agreements, auditing principles and organizational policy.
  • Knowledge of budget review, budget vs expenditure analysis, and Fund Request.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advance MS Excel skills.
  • Proven track record in managing office operation including procurement, vendor management and payroll.
  • Knowledge of taxation, ETDS, and Social Security.
  • Understanding of Nepal's accounting principles for non-profit organizations.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding at all levels.

3. Position: Outreach Worker (ORW)

Minimum Required Qualification10 (SEE) passed, Preference will be given to candidates with paramedical qualifications such as CMA, ANM, or Lab Assistant.
Knowledge, Skills, Work Experience, and Commitment
  • At least 3 years of experience in HIV/TB or health related field.
  • The candidate should preferably be from the same community. Only if no suitable local candidate is available will candidates from nearby areas be considered.
  • Able to coordinate and collaborate with FCHV, Community Leaders, Community influencers, health facilities and local-level government as well as the like-minded agencies and individuals.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of HIV, TB, Malaria and TB Screening and referral mechanism and having knowledge about community mobilization, coordination with local government authorities, ward authorities, health facilities, migrants and their spouses (India Migration) and program mapping.
  • Skills and knowledge in operating smartphones and tablets, along with interpersonal communication skills.
  • Skills in online recordings and reporting procedures and systems.
  • Familiar with social media and digital platforms.
  • Knowledge and experience of group facilitation, conducting meetings, conducting mobile camps, and preparing reports.
  • A two-wheelers license with own vehicle will be an asset.
