Jan Jagaran Youth Club (JJYC) is a national, not for profit, Humanitarian development and non-governmental organization working since 1998. It is a well-established youth-led organization that works on empowering rural communities through various themes like inclusive Education, WASH, GEDSI, DRR and Climate change, knowledge management, human rights and sustainable livelihood enhancement programs. JJYC, Bara hereby invites applications from experienced and qualified Nepalese citizens for the following positions for the SPP-KOICA project with support from Save the Children:

Details of Announcement:

1. Senior Project Coordinator: 01 position

The Sr. Project Coordinator holds primary responsibility for delivering a high-quality KOICA Strategic Partnership Project that reaches children, youth, and communities most affected by inequality and discrimination, supporting in recovery of learning loss and youth employment. This role ensures comprehensive support for community structures and project staff to implement the KOICA Strategic Partnership Project with high levels of efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, the Sr. Coordinator will guide coordinators and Officers teams to establish and sustain productive partnerships and coordination with government counterparts.

Location: JJYC Field Office to frequent field visit to Karaiyamai RM, Devatal RM and Mahagadhimai Municipality of Bara district., Madesh Province Nepal

Qualification: Master’s degree in sociology/management or developmental studies with five years of experience in relevant field.

2. MEAL and Documentation Coordinator: 01 position

The MEAL and Documentation coordinator is responsible for implementing the MEAL system across all programs funded by Save the Children, specific focus to the KOICA Strategic Partnership Project. This includes providing technical support for program quality control and planning, building the capacity of program staff in MEAL, and establishing accountability mechanisms within PNGOs. The role also involves comprehensive documentation of program/project planning, interventions to evaluate and handover and actively supporting the successful handover of the KOICA Strategic Partnership Project to local stakeholders, ensuring transparency, accountability, and sustainability.

Location: JJYC, Field Office with frequent visit to working area.

Qualification and experience: Master/bachelor’s degree in science/economics/development studies/ Social Science/public health/ education or a related field from a recognized institution. Master’s degrees will be added value with at least 3 years of relevant experience. or Prior experience in education program implementation. Experience working in multicultural environments.

3. Finance Coordinator: 01 position

The Finance Coordinator is responsible for financial accounting and management reporting. The scope of responsibilities includes financial accounting of our programs and operations. Ensuring financial efficiency, sustainability and viability and establishing a strong financial governance framework

Location: JJYC field office, Kalaiya with frequent field visits to project area. 

Qualification: Master/ bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration with courses in accounting, or a qualification in accounting (CPA/ACCA or equivalent). Master's would be a plus with at least 5 years of experience in an operation and a financial position with similar responsibilities is required, preferably with an international or local NGO, or a financial/banking institution with 3 years of relevant experience.

4. Education Project Coordinator: 01 position

The Education Project Coordinator –to lead overall KOICA-Strategic Partnership Project Basic Education (BE) Program of the organization including program planning, budgeting, implementation, ensuring quality program implementation in the field through monitoring by using checklist, capacity strengthening of teachers, SMC, PTA and parents in coordination and collaboration with LGs, best utilization of available resources, reporting, and effective collaboration with local government (LG)s  by establishing a good relationships to ensure  quality basic education.

Location: JJYC Field office, Kalaiya with frequent field visits to the project area.

Qualification and Experience: Master’s degree in education or a related field from a recognized institution with 3 years of experience in a related field.

5. Youth Employment/TEVT Project Coordinator: 01 position

The Youth Employment/TEVT Project Coordinator will operate under the guidance of the Sr. Project Coordinator to ensure the effective implementation of project activities, adhering to established standards and strategies. This role demands extensive field travel to project sites and collaboration with stakeholders to promote sustainable TEVT interventions. A key focus will be ensuring the sustainability of the KOICA Strategic Partnership Program’s learning, Youth Employment initiatives, and TEVT development efforts.

Location: JJYC Field office, Kalaiya with frequent field visits to the project area. 

Qualification: Master’s degree in agriculture/TEVT, Social Science or Rural Development or any other discipline with three years or bachelor’s degree with five years of work experience in Youth Employment related project with at least three years of field experience in Youth Employment and TEVT program implementation.

6. Technology for Development (T4D) Project Coordinator: 01 position

The Technology for Development Coordinator will operate under the guidance of the Sr. Project Coordinator to ensure the effective implementation of project activities, adhering to established standards and strategies. This role demands extensive field travel to project sites and collaboration with stakeholders to promote sustainable technology interventions. A key focus will be ensuring the sustainability of the KOICA Strategic Partnership Program’s learning, Digital education initiatives and Youth Employment (digital) initiatives.

Location: JJYC Field office, Kalaiya with frequent field visits to the project area.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in engineering/CSIT or other relevant discipline with four years or bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in working with open-source electronics platforms like Arduino/Raspberry Pi and it's dependencies. Or, 1+ years of experience in delivering hardware and software-based training to school-going children.

7. Education Project Officer: 07 positions

The Education Project Officer is responsible for field level program implementation including organizing meetings with SMC, teachers, parents, children and community people, ensuring effective program implementation through regular monitoring, providing on the spot support for schoolteachers and community volunteers in implementation of Integrated Curriculum training, Inclusive education, ReAL, Home Schooling and other education programs as per need. To collect information from the field and support the assessment, research and evaluation process.

The position requires 90% fieldwork to implement thematic activities and 10% for reporting, coordination, and networking

Location: JJYC, Field office, Kalaiya with frequent field visits to project area.

Qualification: B.Ed with minimum of 3 years working experience in education project or, M.Ed. with minimum 2 years’ experience at basic level.

8. Youth Employment/TEVT Projector Officer: 03 position

The Youth Employment/TEVT Project Officer is responsible for field level program implementation including organizing meetings with LGs, Private sectors, service providers and youth, ensuring effective program implementation through regular monitoring, providing on the spot support to Youth and TEVT received participants. To collect information from the field and support the assessment, research and evaluation process.

The position requires 90% fieldwork to implement thematic activities and 10% for reporting, coordination, and networking.

Location: JJYC Field office, Kalaiya with frequent field visits to the project area.

Qualification: Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in TEVT/Agriculture/management with at least three years of experience in the related field.

9. Admin and Supply Chain Officer: 01 position

The Admin and Supply Chain Officer has overall day-to-day management responsibility for the administrative and supply chain functions including procurement, logistics and transport of the Office. The Admin and Supply Chain Officer has the responsibility of ensuring that procurement processes at the office level are being carried out in line with organization and donor policies and that the office has available fleet of vehicles to support program activities. S/he will ensure that the fixed and non-fixed assets at the office are managed in line with the asset management guidelines and records are properly maintained. S/he will also support the office in managing administrative functions including office management, security property management, stores, event management, and other related support functions.  

Location: JJYC Field office, Kalaiya with frequent field visits to the project area.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in business administration (Preferred: Master’s degree) with at least 3-5years of progressive responsibility in Admin and Supply Chain.
