DidiBahini is a Nepali non-governmental development organization working in the areas of gender, education, human rights, peacebuilding, and social justice, with a strategic focus on promoting lifelong learning, peacebuilding, and equitable and sustainable development. Our core interventions prioritize poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged groups.

We are currently seeking qualified, committed, and motivated candidates to join our team. These positions require an open-minded and flexible individual who is willing to support other office-related responsibilities as needed, beyond the core project scope. All roles demand flexibility, team collaboration, and a commitment to inclusive practices and social transformation.

1. Project Coordinator

Location: Field-based (preferably Lahan, Siraha)

Key Role:

Coordinate and lead the day-to-day implementation of the project across three districts. The role involves logistical planning, field-level coordination, and facilitation of inclusive activities such as feminist leadership training, dialogues, and social accountability events.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies (Master’s preferred)
  • At least 5 years of grassroots coordination experience, preferably in Madhesh Province
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and planning skills
  • Familiarity with local governance, women’s rights, and social mobilization
  • Sound understanding of Feminist and GESI principles, intersectionality, and participatory planning

2. Advocacy & Communications Officer

Location: Kathmandu (with regular field visits)

Key Role:

Lead the project’s advocacy and communication strategy to amplify women’s leadership, challenge gender norms, and promote inclusive governance through media, storytelling, and digital platforms.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s in Media, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in feminist communication, public advocacy, or awareness-raising campaigns
  • Proven skills in producing gender-sensitive content and managing social media
  • Experience engaging with marginalized groups and sensitive issues like GBV
  • Strong commitment to feminist values, storytelling, and inclusion
  • Good understanding of Feminist and GESI principles, intersectionality, and participatory development process

3. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer

Location: Field-based (preferably Lahan, Siraha)

Key Role:

Design and implement the project’s Feminist MEL framework, ensuring inclusive data collection, participatory monitoring, and evidence-based learning that informs project strategy and advocacy.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in M&E, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or Statistics
  • Minimum 3 years of MEL experience in gender-focused projects
  • Skilled in participatory tools, disaggregated data collection, and results-based frameworks
  • Knowledge of GAC MEL standards and ethical learning approaches is an asset
  • Ability to facilitate reflection sessions, scorecards, and social audits
  • Sound understanding of Feminist and GESI principles, intersectionality, and participatory planning and development process

4. District Field Facilitators

One per district: Lahan (Siraha), Surunga (Saptari), Triyuga (Udayapur)

Key Role:

Mobilize community stakeholders, support inclusive training and advocacy events, and ensure smooth coordination at the local level. This role includes engagement with local governments, documenting stories of change, and helping communities raise their voices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum +2 education (Bachelor’s preferred in Social Work, Rural Development, or related fields)
  • At least 3 years of community facilitation experience with marginalized groups
  • Fluency in Maithili/Tharu and Nepali with strong community rapport
  • Experience in organizing local events, documentation, and participatory advocacy
  • Commitment to feminist principles, equity, and inclusive governance
  • Knowledge of  GESI principles, intersectionality, and participatory development and  planning

5. Admin/Finance assistant

Kathmandu (with regular field visits)

Key Role:

Support financial record-keeping, including payments, payroll, and reconciliations, and assist in preparing monthly expenditure and budget reports, maintain personnel files, track inventory, and ensure administrative and logistical support for project activities. The role includes ensuring compliance with organizational policies and supporting coordination, communication, and documentation at the central and field levels.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum Intermediate degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in admin and finance with good command in Nepali and English (spoken and written). 
  • Strong knowledge of Nepali accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Tally, Famas, or similar) MS Office, email, internet, with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude.
