Himalayan Community Development Forum (HICODEF) is a registered NGO working the field of social development since its establishment in 1999. It has envisioned a society where everyone would have a dignified life and there would not be any sort of discrimination. The mission of HICODEF is to contribute to create a society without any sorts of discrimination, exploitation, and poverty through the process of empowerment. Based in Nawalparasi (east), the organization has implemented several development and humanitarian initiations in the partnerships with different development partners.

CRS Nepal and HICODEF have jointly planned to promote a market-based multistory agroforestry model called SPICES (Securing and Protecting Investments & Capacities for Environmental Sustainability). By supporting the cultivation, processing, and marketing of identified value chain commodities, SPICES will help smallholder farmers to increase their productivity, income and household resilience building in Baudikali and Hupsekot Rural Municipalities of Nawalparasi (east).

HICODEF invites application from interested and qualified Nepali citizens for the following posts to work on this newly initiated project.

Project: Securing and Protecting Investments and Capacities for Environmental Sustainability in Nepal (SPICES), in partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS)

1. Position: Technical Officer/ Project Coordinator

Department/Location: Nawalparasi (East)/Nepal

Reports To: Executive Director

Supervises: Social Mobilisers/Junior Technical Assistants (JTA)

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum bachelor's level in agriculture or animal science or social science (on high-value crop value chain development). A Master's degree will be an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience working in agricultural development with NGOs or government
• Proven experience in facilitation and participatory approaches to development
• Candidates with knowledge of training delivery, Monitoring and Evaluation, and extensive experience in community development and private sector engagement will be preferred.

2. Position: Admin Finance Officer

Department/Location: Nawalparasi (East)/Nepal

Reports To: Executive Director and indirect reporting to Project Coordinator, SPICES project

Supervises: None

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum bachelor's level in management and account.
• At least 3 years of experience working in financial management system
• Candidates with knowledge and extensive experience in community development and private sector engagement will be preferred.
