Rural Oriented Youth Movement Nepal (ROYM Nepal) is an NGO established in 2009, dedicated to enhance the sustainable livelihoods of women, disadvantaged and marginalized groups of society through skill transformation, youth engagement, and transformative initiatives aligned with SDGs.

1. Position: Team Leader (Gender Inclusive DRR Expert)

Location: Kathmandu (Frequent field visit to Lumbini, Sudurpashchim and Karnali Province)

Required Position: 1

Job Type: Consultant (Contract-Based)

Reports to: Senior Program Coordinator/Executive Director

Duration: 9 Months (Possibility of extension)

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Position Description

ROYM Nepal is implementing “Gender Responsive Disaster Preparedness and Response Project in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal.” The main objective of the project is to support local and provincial governments in integrating Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDS) into disaster management policies, organize inclusive simulation exercises, capacitate on inclusive disaster data management, and generate GEDSI profiles for inclusive planning. 2. Position – GEDSI Database Officer

Location: Kathmandu

Required Position: 1

Duration: Fixed-term (as per project period)

Reports to: Senior Program Coordinator/ DRR Technical Lead

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Primary Role:

Lead the development and operationalization of GEDSI-responsive data systems and visualization tools for disaster preparedness, response and recovery.
