Introduction:
The Mess Cleaner is responsible to immaculate The Kalikhola Combined Mess (Rooms, Mess Toilets, corridors, staircase, Bar area, Tables, chairs and Frames)

This position is advertised at 40 hours per week in shift system (including weekends).
Job description/ Responsibilities:
- Maintaining overall cleanness of The Kalikhola Mess BGP.
- Cleaning toilet/bathroom, changing bed sheet, pillow slips, towels of every occupied room on a weekly on request. Prepare all checked out rooms for the upcoming visitors.
- S/He is responsible for cleaning the Doors, windows, floor and displayed pictures.
- Cleaning the public area like corridors and Mess accommodations.
- Assisting and coordinating with the Mess waiter during the absence of Mess manager.
- Polishing all the bras-so items displayed in the Mess areas.
- Checking the room amenities prior to arrival and after the departure of every visitor.
- Reporting breakages and losses of room amenities to Mess No. 1 and Mess manager.
- Polishing all the table and chairs with furniture shiner.
- Being available for the functions which occur in last hours to maintain the cleaning.
- Cleaning and mobbing all the stores on weekly basis.
- Visitor’s laundry and room laundry must be sent to laundry room and follow up for the collection.
- Securing the mess property.
- Carry out other duties as directed by Mess Manager/Senior waiter.

Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a similar cleaning, housekeeping, or hospitality-related role.
- Proven experience in delivering responsibilities effectively and efficiently with a good customer service skill.
Qualifications:
- Minimum SLC/SEE education is essential
- Basic understanding of spoken instruction in English and Nepali language.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques for different surfaces (wood, glass, stainless steel, etc.) and chemical use and dilution (safe and effective usage).
- Knowledge of waste segregation and disposal methods to maintain hygiene and sanitation.
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety, First Aid, and general safety practices in accommodation settings.
- Ability to lift, bend, and move for long hours, and carry equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail (cleaning corners, under furniture, high-touch surfaces, and glass/furniture).
- Discipline and time management with the ability to follow a cleaning/duty schedule without reminders.
- Ability to work well in a team and adjust to changing routines or special events.
- A Hospitality Qualification will be considered an advantage.

- Salary 47,885.00 NPR per month (Permanent).
- Gratuity after completing 3 years’ service.

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is a Govt of Nepal Police Report for employment in Nepal.
