Human Practice Foundation (HPF), a Danish NGO, has been working in Nepal since 2017 and in Kenya since 2018 to improve the quality of education through school infrastructure development, Learning improvement, and Economic empowerment.

Currently, we are seeking competent, experienced, committed, and dynamic Nepalese candidates for the following positions to implement our Learning Improvement component in the project area through ICT support. The position will be based at HPF’s Project Office, Terhathum, with frequent field visits to project catchment schools.

Position: IT Officer- 1

Reporting To: Learning Manager

Duration: 1 year with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory work performance, and a 3-month probation period initially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver basic IT training for schoolteachers to enhance their confidence and ability to use ICT tools/ digital teaching tools in the classroom.
  • Support teachers in integrating ICT into lesson planning, interactive teaching, classroom management, and assessment.
  • Ensure proper functioning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of IT labs in project schools.
  • Conduct ICT classes for students or build teachers’ capacity to facilitate student ICT lessons effectively.
  • Develop user-friendly training modules, manuals, and digital resources for teachers and students.
  • Work closely with school leadership, project teams, and local stakeholders to ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Prepare training reports, maintain documentation, and track progress against indicators.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in delivering ICT or digital literacy training, preferably in education or community settings.
  • Strong knowledge of computer basics, MS Office packages, internet tools, and educational ICT applications.
  • Ability to present complex IT concepts in a simple, practical, and teacher-friendly manner.
  • Good communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and ensure smooth operation of ICT equipment.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with schools, teachers, or educational development programs.
  • Knowledge of ICT-based pedagogy and digital teaching-learning approaches.
  • Experience in supporting IT lab management and school-level ICT initiatives
