Summary:

Community Development & Advocacy Forum Nepal (CDAFN) Bardibas, Mahottari is a NGO dedicated to uphold the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Health, Education, Livelihood, Protection and Climate Change Adaptation Mitigation, Chure Conservation, Disaster Risk Reduction Management, Biodiversity Conservation and Humanitarian Support including Organizational Development and GEDSI. It works with a vision for Building a Civilized and Prosperous Society with Equality and Social Justice in Nepal since 2006. It works with a mission to improve the lives of people through economic, social, cultural and physical transformation. It has been implementing Strengthening Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Resilience Capacities in India and Nepal Project in Mahottari (Bardibas, Balawa and Bhangaha Municipality) and Dhanusha (Mithila Municipality) District in partnership with BMZ/BENGO/Caritas Germany.

Community Development & Advocacy Forum Nepal (CDAFN), Bardibas invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates (Nepali citizen only) who are reliable, accountable, and have the ability to deliver results with the highest level of integrity for the following position under its Strengthening Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Resilience Capacities in India and Nepal Project.

Position: Field Officer

Required No.: 1 (One) 

Duty Station: Project Office Bhangaha Municipality (70% field visit in project area)

Required qualification, experience, skill and knowledge

Education: Bachelor’s degree in: Agriculture, Environmental Science, Disaster Risk Management, Rural Development or related field

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in community development, Climate Resilient Agriculture, DRR/CCA or livelihood projects

Skills:

• Strong field facilitation and community mobilization skills
• Practical knowledge of DRR, CCA, and climate-resilient livelihoods
• Experience in VCA/PRA tools and disaster preparedness activities
• Ability to coordinate with municipalities, wards, schools, and CBOs
• Good documentation and basic reporting skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
• Willingness to travel extensively to remote areas
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
