1. About the Organization 

Shanti Nepal is a value-based social organization with a vision of wholistic transformation of Nepali community particularly the poor and marginalized communities. Registered in Lalitpur District of Nepal and started its work since 2004, it has five running projects in four districts of three provinces of Nepal in Health, WASH and Sustainable Livelihoods along with few crosscutting issues. 

2. Header

Position: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer 

Required No.: 1 (One) 

Duty Station: Central Office, Talchhikhel Lalitpur with frequent visits to the project districts

Type of Contract: Time-bound full-time 

3. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the project’s monitoring and evaluation plan and reporting systems aligned with project goals and donor requirements.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and ethical data collection; conduct data quality checks and support field teams on proper M&E tools and methods.
  • Support to prepare periodic progress reports, results summaries, and dashboards, ensuring compliance with donors and organizational standards
  • Support and facilitate to capture and maintain learning log, issue log, knowledge management and documentation based on evidence.
  • Be overall responsible for complaint and feedback mechanism of the organization and project.  
  • Prepare organizational reports and support project reporting in both Nepali and English language. 
  • Review/updates organizational webpage/handle fakebook/YouTube- social media and support to develop organizational promotion

4. Required Qualifications, Competencies and commitment

  • Education: Preferably master's degree in Social Science or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a officer level in related field within the NGO/INGO sector.
  • Skills: Strong documentations, computer, data management and communication skills.
  • Language and culture: Fluency in English and Nepali in written and oral presentation. 
  • Integrity and Inclusion: Demonstrated commitment to the organizational vision, mission and core values, ethical standards, GEDSI policies, accountability, and the organization's Code of Conduct.
  • Driving License: Valid motorcycle driving license with at least one year of driving experience.

5. Salary and Benefits

  • As per organizational policy based on experience and qualifications.
