SNV/Nepal, a Dutch non-government development organisation, has been working in Nepal since 1980. SNV/Nepal's programme focuses on local governance and social mobilisation, gender mainstreaming an advocacy, economic opportunities and natural resources. The District Partners Programme (DPP) is one of the programmes supported by SNV/Nepal, which covers five districts in the Karnali Zone (Dolpa, Humla, Jumla, Mugu and Kalikot) and is coordinated from, the Regional Office at Nepalganj. DPP aims to contribute to an institutional environment, which stimulates sustainable economic development and supports the planning and implementation of development activities in Kamali.
