B.I.A. Institute is a social organization in Nepal dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through vocational training, skills development, and holistic support. With its project initiation since 2014, the Institute provides meaningful opportunities in traditional Nepali handicrafts, health and well-being, sports, and social engagement. By fostering independence, practical skills, and confidence, B.I.A. helps trainees contribute to their families and communities while preserving Nepal’s cultural heritage.

Position: Content Writer

Location: Narayantar, Jorpati, Kathmandu

Type: Contract

A local organization working in the disability sector is seeking a qualified and motivated Content Writer to support its communication and documentation needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and develop proposals, concept notes, and reports
• Draft official letters and organizational documents
• Develop content for publications, presentations, and communication materials as required by the organization
• Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity and quality
• Coordinate with team members to gather and structure information

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (mass communication, journalism or management / social sciences).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant writing experience in NGO/development sector preferred
• Excellent command of written English (mandatory)
• Ability to write in Nepali will be an added advantage
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills

Preference will be given to:

• Candidates with experience in the disability or development sector
• Candidates with strong proposal and report writing skills
