GORKHA AYURVED COMPANY (P) LTD. is the first established and leading private Ayurvedic medicine manufacturer and supplier in Nepal. The company was established in 1984 with its p0roduction unit based at Gorkha and is a joint venture between Nepalese and the French NGO; Center for International Development and Research (CIDR). Currently, the company's product line is running full-swing at the home market and has current overseas links to Germany, Sweden, Italy, and France. The company further aims to enhance its business with other western countries as well. Apart from production, the company is also very active in social activities of its employees. The company aims to help generate income for poor, rural communities through the work of cultivation of medicinal herbs. This involves developing skills of local workers through trainings, workshops, etc. In addition, the company aims to develop Nepal’s tremendous potentiality of herbal resource and introduce the unique Himalayan herbs in the international market.
