World Neighbors (WN) is an international, non-governmental development organization dedicated to inspiring and strengthening rural communities to find lasting solutions to hunger, poverty, and disease, while promoting a healthy environment. Founded in 1951 in Oklahoma, USA, WN currently works in 14 countries worldwide.
WN has been working in Nepal since 1973, supporting rural and remote communities through integrated development approaches. Its core thematic areas include sustainable agriculture and rural livelihoods, community-based natural resource management, and community and reproductive health. Gender equity and local capacity building are applied as cross-cutting priorities across all interventions.
WN plans to implement a five-year project (2026–2031) aimed at improving food and nutrition security, increasing awareness of women’s reproductive health, enhancing income-generation opportunities—including small business promotion, market linkages, and financial literacy—and strengthening disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation efforts, with a primary focus on women.
WN invites Expressions of Interest (EoIs) from eligible nonprofit organizations that have technical expertise and have demonstrated significant impact in following areas are requested to submit their expression of interest (EOI):
- Development of community-friendly IEC materials and training modules on business/ entrepreneurship literacy, financial literacy and/or digital financial literacy,
- Capacity building of trainers through training of trainers (TOT) to facilitate literacy classes at communities,
- Proven experience in directly implementing and supporting local NGOs to deliver business, entrepreneurship, financial, and digital literacy programs across diverse ethnic communities and geographical regions.
- Technical support in entrepreneurship development, livelihood improvement, food security, climate change activities and market linkages,
- Technical assistance to local NGOs on strengthening disaster preparedness, management and humanitarian response activities,
- Provide technical support on preventive health and nutrition,
- Initiatives to enhance access to financial services to women and marginalized groups.
Eligibility Criteria
Interested organizations must meet all the following requirements:
- Legally registered in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations of the Government of Nepal;
- Be affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) with a valid and renewed affiliation certificate;
- Have a valid constitution and/or by-laws;
- Maintain regular financial audits conducted in accordance with applicable laws;
- Be registered for PAN and/or VAT, as applicable.
- Hold valid tax clearance certificates as required by law.

The complete EoI must be submitted via email only by 5:00 PM, COB, 24 March 2026. Any EoI received after the deadline will not be considered.
WN reserves the right to accept or reject any or all EoIs, in whole or in part, and/or to discontinue the partner selection process at any stage without assigning any reason. Submission of an EoI does not constitute a commitment by WN to enter into a partnership agreement. Only shortlisted organizations will be contacted for subsequent stages of the selection process. Telephone inquiries will not be entertained. Any form of canvassing or undue influence will result in automatic disqualification.
