Location: Bandipur, Nepal

Experience: 2–3 years in a related field

Academic Qualification: Diploma / Overseer in Electrical Engineering

Introduction:

The Cable Car Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the cable car electrical systems. This role ensures seamless transport for passengers by maintaining rigorous safety standards and performing technical troubleshooting of automated control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• System Operation: Operate and monitor the cable car transport system, ensuring all electrical components, motors, and drives function within specified parameters.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults in control panels, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and automated sensor networks to minimize downtime.
• Maintenance: Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and electronic components according to manufacturer standards and safety protocols.
• System Monitoring: Utilize knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and automation to oversee real-time operations and adjust system performance as required.
• Power Management: Manage and maintain backup power systems, including Generators and UPS, to ensure continuous operation during power fluctuations or outages.
• Documentation & Compliance: Read and interpret electrical drawings and circuit diagrams for repairs. Maintain operational logs and ensure all activities comply with electrical safety standards.

Technical Qualifications & Skills

• Industry Experience: Prior experience in ropeways, cable cars, or large-scale manufacturing/operational industries is highly preferred.
• Electrical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and motor control.
• Automation Knowledge: Proficient in PLC systems, VFDs, sensors, and industrial automation.
• Safety Standards: Strong command of electrical safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to read complex electrical drawings and schematics for effective troubleshooting.
