Position Summary

Skathi Entertainment seeks a visionary Events Director to lead and expand its events portfolio with innovation, cultural impact, and profitability. This senior leadership role demands a strategic thinker and proven industry expert to design scalable event formats, drive sponsorship growth, and lead a high-performing team aligned with global standards and local relevance.

The Events Director will be responsible for strategic planning, business development, event programming, artist bookings, sponsorship & partnership deals, and team leadership, with a laser-sharp focus on profitability, innovation, market understanding, and impact. This role is pivotal to setting new benchmarks in the Nepali events industry and expanding Skathi’s cultural and commercial footprint both locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Development

  • Develop and execute events strategies for Skathi, aligned with the company’s vision, revenue, brand goals and outreach.
  • Design short and long-term event business plans to maximize income, audience growth, cultural impact, and brand presence.
  • Identify new scalable revenue streams (ticketed events, festival models, touring shows, pop-ups, B2B events, etc.).
  • Build robust financial modeling for each event and ensure cost-efficiency without compromising experience.
  • Leverage technology (CRM, ticketing data, AI-driven insights) for event forecasting and optimizing audience engagement.
  • Set KPIs and use data-driven analysis to guide investment and innovation in events.

Programming & Curation

  • Design and curate a diverse, relevant, and engaging yearly calendar of events across music, arts, education, and pop culture.
  • Ensure Skathi’s events stand out through storytelling, cultural relevance, immersive experiences, top notch programming (emerging and established) and world-class execution.
  • Bring in original concepts that combine Nepali authenticity with international appeal.
  • Co-develop experiences with artists, collectives, and creative entrepreneurs.

Sponsorship & Partnership Development

  • Secure long-term and event-specific sponsorships with brands, development agencies, embassies, corporates, and media.
  • Secure, negotiate, and manage high-value sponsorships and institutional partnerships, both in financial and in-kind value.
  • Develop compelling proposals, package and pitch sponsorship decks and create ROI reports post-events.
  • Lead relationship management with high-level stakeholders and institutional partners.

Market Research & Analysis

  • Track local and international entertainment trends, audience preferences, competitor activities, and market opportunities.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessment for new event formats and locations.
  • Prepare quarterly market intelligence reports to inform strategy and innovation.

Outreach, Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent Skathi in key networking platforms, panels, industry meetings, and creative hubs.
  • Foster relationships with artists, talent managers, venues, government and other official bodies, and cultural institutions.
  • Support the visibility of Skathi’s mission through public speaking, partnerships, and strategic storytelling.

Team Leadership & Culture Building

  • Lead, supervise and mentor the Events Manager and Events Officer, ensuring workflow efficiency and skill development.
  • Cultivate a high-performance team culture of initiative, accountability, and innovation.
  • Facilitate cross-department collaboration with marketing, production, creative, and finance units.
  • Establish systems for feedback, learning, and internal capacity building.

Operational Strategy & Risk Management.

  • Develop and regularly update robust contingency plans for all event formats, ensuring operational continuity in case of emergencies, cancellations, weather issues, logistical failures, or force majeure. This includes scenario planning, budget buffers, and alternate execution strategies aligned with Skathi’s reputation and brand standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and logistical regulations in Nepal, including labor laws, tax implications, copyright, local authority permits, and crowd control standards.
  • Oversee budgeting and resource allocation across all events, ensuring financial discipline, cost-effectiveness, and timely payments to vendors, artists, and staff.
  • Create and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for core aspects of event execution: setup, strike, artist management, security, hospitality, tech, ensuring consistency and accountability.
  • Oversee and optimize master event timelines, production schedules, and call sheet formats to ensure alignment across departments, clarity of roles, and efficient on-ground execution for flawless event delivery. Must be adept at working with time-coded schedules, coordinating rehearsals, load-ins/load-outs, and ensuring every stakeholder is aligned with the day-of-show flow.
  • Design evaluation and post-event audit mechanisms to assess success metrics (financial, creative, operational), identify learnings, and improve future planning.
  • Manage vendor relationships strategically, building a roster of reliable, cost-effective, and innovative service providers, while continually negotiating favorable deals.

Required Qualiffications & Experience

Educational Background

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management, Business, Cultural Management, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree (or equivalent senior-level industry experience) strongly preferred.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Nepali, with excellent proposal writing skills (must be included in portfolio).

Experience

  • 7+ years of proven experience in planning and executing large-scale events in Nepal and additional experience abroad if applicable (music, festivals, conferences, etc.).
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership or strategic role in the entertainment industry.
  • Proven track record in sponsorship acquisition, partnership building, profitable event delivery, high volume of profitable artist bookings, innovative programming building sustainable event brands.
  • Experience in curating innovative event concepts, with awareness of Nepal’s regulatory, logistical, and cultural context.
  • Must show a portfolio and proof of past work, including case studies or project reports.

Position Summary

Skathi Entertainment seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Manager to lead the tactical planning and flawless execution of its events calendar. Reporting to the Events Director, the Events Manager will be responsible for translating strategic event concepts into fully realized, on-ground experiences. This position calls for a highly organized individual with strong planning skills, technical understanding of event logistics, aesthetic sensibility, and the ability to manage a team across concurrent projects.

The Events Manager must be confident in managing multiple vendors, technical riders, production schedules, and a growing internal team. A strong understanding of promotional design, audience communication, and basic digital marketing (especially social media content planning) is essential. This role plays a critical bridge between vision and implementation, ensuring every Skathi event reflects excellence, innovation, and cultural relevance.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Execution

  • Develop and maintain event implementation frameworks and tools, including detailed production timelines, call sheets, and inventory plans.
  • Lead day-to-day operational planning, including staff allocation, venue coordination, infrastructure setup, and artist liaisoning.
  • Oversee pre-production, setup, show flow, strike-down, and follow-up processes for all events, ensuring quality and consistency in execution.
  • Ensure all events follow Skathi’s brand and logistical SOPs and safety regulations.
  • Preparing call sheets based on requirements and availability of materials, logistics and planned schedule.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise the Events Officer and freelance team members, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
  • Build capacity within the team through regular training, mentorship, and feedback loops.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, creative ownership, and teamwork.

Creative Coordination & Visual Consistency

  • Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to design promotional content (digital and print).
  • Use basic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.) to adapt visuals for last-minute changes and internal decks.
  • Ensure all on-site signage, digital assets, and branding materials are implemented as per visual identity guidelines.

Marketing Support & Audience Engagement

  • Assist in managing RSVPs, guest lists, and pre-event communication across platforms.

Reporting & Documentation

Position Summary

Skathi Entertainment is seeking a reliable and resourceful Events Officer to support the operational and logistical execution of its diverse event portfolio. Reporting to the Events Manager, the Events Officer plays a hands-on role in ensuring smooth on-ground coordination, vendor liaison, and venue management.

This role is ideal for someone with strong practical sense, physical stamina, and logistical acumen. The Events Officer will be involved in every stage of the event, from venue scouting and material procurement to setup and strike, making them an essential team member in bringing creative ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities

Event Logistics & Coordination

  • Support the Events Manager in implementing event execution plans and daily timelines.
  • Lead venue scouting visits, assess logistical feasibility, and document venue layouts and capacities.
  • Coordinate on-ground vendors for setup (staging, tech, decor, F\&B, etc.) and ensure timely delivery and quality control.
  • Assist in stage management, artist arrivals, equipment movement, and volunteer coordination.

On-site Execution & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor site build-up, artist rehearsals, and technical checks; flag issues to Events Manager in real-time.
  • Act as the main point of contact for vendors, volunteers, and venue staff during event days.
  • Oversee inventories, manage backstage materials, and ensure all items are returned or stored post-event.

Procurement & Inventory Management

  • Handle purchase orders for event materials (based on approvals), track receipts, and assist in budget tracking.
  • Maintain and organize Skathi’s in-house event inventory and request replenishments as needed.

Documentation & Evaluation

  • Assist in capturing event data (attendance, ticketing numbers, vendor logs).
  • Contribute to post-event debriefs by noting operational feedback, learnings, and vendor performance.
  • Maintain and update checklists and inventory trackers for future use.

Required Qualiffications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Event Management, Logistics, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in event operations or coordination (music, art, cultural events preferred).
  • Familiarity with venue setup processes, equipment handling, and basic technical understanding.
  • Experience working with vendors and knowledge of Kathmandu's events ecosystem is a plus.
  • Capable of working extended hours, lifting/carrying items, and managing high-pressure timelines.
