Hamro Prayash Nepal (HPN) Sindhuli, in collaboration with dZi Foundation, is seeking motivated and committed staff to support the “Inclusive Shared Prosperity in the Koshi River Basin (ISPK)” project at municipal level. The project works with local governments and communities to improve access to services, strengthen livelihoods, and enhance disaster preparedness for poor and marginalized households.

1. Program Coordinator (1)

Duty station: Kamalamai Municipality-based, with frequent field travel

Key role:

  • Lead day-to-day coordination of project activities in the municipality and ensure delivery against agreed results.
  • Coordinate closely with municipal governments, TDOs, CBOs and community groups to ensure local ownership and integration of project activities into municipal plans (LED, LDCRP, sectoral plans).
  • Supervise the municipal project team (Livelihoods & Services Officer, Finance & Administration Officer, Field Facilitators).

Minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in economics, rural development, social sciences or related field (Bachelor’s with strong relevant experience can be considered).
  • At least 3 years’ experience in local development, livelihoods, DRR, governance or multi-sector community development, preferably at the municipal level.
  • Proven experience working with municipalities and community structures; strong coordination and facilitation skills.

2. Livelihoods & Services Officer (1)

Duty station: Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-based, with frequent community visits

Key role:

  • Support implementation of livelihood diversification, micro-enterprise, and market platform activities.
  • Facilitate access to essential services (health, education, WASH, civil registration) for poor and marginalized households.
  • Work closely with community groups, cooperatives, and service providers.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, agriculture, rural development, business or related field (Intermediate/+2 with strong experience may be considered in remote areas).
  • At least 3 years’ experience in livelihoods, agriculture, enterprise promotion, cooperatives or local economic development.

3. Finance & Administration Officer (1)

Duty station: Kamalamai Municipality-based

Key role:

  • Ensure transparent and compliant financial management and administration of project funds at municipal level.
  • Support budgeting, expenditure tracking, procurement and basic admin/logistics for field activities.
  • Provide basic financial guidance to user committees and community groups.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field.
  • At least 3 years’ practical experience in NGO finance and administration at district/municipal level.

4. Field Facilitator / Community Mobilizer (1)

Duty station: Community-based within the Sunkoshi Rural Municipality

Key role:

  • Mobilize households, TDOs, user committees and groups to participate in project planning, implementation and social accountability.
  • Support service access, livelihood activities and DRR/ preparedness at household and community level.
  • Collect basic field data and share regular feedback from communities.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum Intermediate/+2 (Bachelor’s preferred where available).
  • At least 2 years’ experience in community mobilization, facilitation or social work with NGOs, CBOs or cooperatives.
  • Cross-cutting requirements (all positions)
  • Strong commitment to inclusion and working with women, Dalits, Janajatis, youth, persons with disabilities and ultra-poor households.
  • Willingness to travel within the municipality and work in rural/remote settings.
  • Good communication skills in Nepali, English preferred; local languages are an asset.
  • Ability to use basic digital tools (smartphone, simple Excel or mobile data collection) is an advantage.
