1. Local Fundraiser cum Communication Officer – 1 Post

Location: Madhyapur Thimi Branch

Job Description:

The Local Fundraiser cum Communication Officer will play a key role in mobilizing resources, building relationships with donors, and promoting FFLN’s programs at the branch level. This position requires a motivated, proactive individual with excellent communication and networking skills, capable of representing the organization in the community.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement local fundraising campaigns, events, and donor engagement strategies.
  • Identify potential donors, corporate partners, and community supporters, and maintain relationships.
  • Draft proposals, reports, newsletters, and communication materials.
  • Support awareness campaigns in schools and communities.
  • Document and showcase program achievements through media, photos, and success stories.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Communication, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in fundraising, communication, or NGO program support.
  • Excellent written and spoken Nepali and English.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and coordination skills.

2. Procurement & Logistics Officer – 1 Post

Location: Madhyapur Thimi Branch

Job Description:

The Procurement & Logistics Officer ensures that all branch supplies, including food and non-food items, are sourced, stored, and distributed efficiently, maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards. This role is critical for smooth branch operations and delivery of FFLN’s meal programs.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and manage vendors for supplies; negotiate contracts and pricing.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage practices.
  • Coordinate transportation and timely delivery of meals to schools.
  • Monitor procurement budgets and prepare reports.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies and standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • 1–2 years experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics management.
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and analytical skills.

3. Chef – 1 Post (Mass Cooking Experience Required)

Location: Budhanilkantha Branch

Job Description:

Food for Life Nepal (FFLN) is committed to providing nutritious meals to thousands of school children daily. We are seeking an experienced Chef with expertise in large-scale / mass cooking to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing meals efficiently while supporting the development of structured kitchen processes, including standardized recipes, SOPs, and menu planning. This position requires a professional who understands volume production, maintains consistency and high standards of food safety, and works effectively within a structured, team-oriented kitchen environment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals in large quantities (mass cooking).
  • Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and quality.
  • Follow hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
  • Support in developing and improving Kitchen Cooking SOPs.
  • Assist in creating standardized recipes with accurate measurements.
  • Contribute to menu planning aligned with nutrition and operational feasibility.
  • Coordinate with preparation, logistics, and cleaning teams.
  • Monitor raw material usage and minimize wastage.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or related field.
  • Proven experience in mass cooking (canteen, catering, institutional kitchen, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen discipline.
  • Experience in recipe standardization and menu planning will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, team-based kitchen environment.
  • Physically fit and capable of managing large-scale cooking operations.
