Rural Oriented Youth Movement-Nepal (ROYM-Nepal) is a national non-profit making non-governmental national level organization established in 2009 which envisions a socio-economically empowered society with equality and social justice through its community based collective campaign to create an environment where marginalized groups can raise their voices for economic, cultural and social rights challenging the structural discrimination. It aims at reducing poverty through skill transformation and youth engagement. ROYM-Nepal supports the country in achieving the long-term Sustainable Development Goals on human rights, health, education, gender equality, water, sanitation, environment, social protection, justice and impact of climate change. In more than a decade of its working experience, ROYM-Nepal has been successfully carrying out different community-based interventions and socio-economic programs under WASH, skill promotion, self and gainful-employment, women health, and socio-economic empowerment in 18 districts of Nepal. ROYM-Nepal is currently looking for the application from qualified candidates for the following positions:

1. Position: Sr. MEAL Officer

Based in: Kathmandu

Position Description

The Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer (Sr. MEAL Officer) will work to develop and implement MEAL framework and plan of the organization for the projects and oversee field level MEAL activities. The Sr. MEAL Officer will work closely with the district teams of organization at the field level to implement routine data collection through ROYM Nepal’s Database Management System, its continuous analysis, dissemination of the findings and development of knowledge products based on the learning and best practices. The Sr. MEAL Officer will involve in operationalization of project’s M&E system and ensure high quality data are captured throughout the life cycle of the project, campaign and movement. 2. Position: Program Coordinator (ESC Rights Thematic Lead)

Based in: Kathmandu

Required Position: 1

The Program Coordinator (PC) takes lead role to manage the overall programs under Economic, Social and Cultural (ESC) Rights of the organization and works in close coordination of Senior Program Coordinator under the supervision of the Executive Director. The position will closely work with other staffs of Kathmandu and concerned district offices of Madhesh and Bagmati Provinces and in achieving the objectives of ROYM Nepal. This is a regular position (including 3-month probation period) with annual extension having annual performance review. She/He is mainly responsible for project management of enhancing the advocacy, holistic capacity building and overall management of economic and social rights of most marginalized sections of society through promotion of sustainable livelihood options and social leadership development programs. PC will lead the program development, management and oversight of programs linking with the role of women, girls and youths groups, and engagement of young human rights defenders/activists in the province and management of different trainings and workshops at district, province and federal level with proper planning, implementation and quality management, documentation, stakeholder communications and coordination with stakeholders. 3. Position: DRR and Social Mobilization Associate:

Fostering Inclusive Resilience through Gender Responsive Disaster Preparedness and Response in Nepal (Nepalese Nationals only)

Location: Provincial/Municipal level (Karnali Province)

Required Number: 2

Duration: Fixed-term (as per project period)

Reports to: Senior Program Coordinator/ DRR Technical Lead

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Purpose of the Position:

The DRR and Social Mobilization Associate will play a key role in supporting local and provincial governments to strengthen disaster preparedness and response systems with the integration of GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion). The Associate will also support community-based preparedness, response, and resilience initiatives with an emphasis on inclusive practices, social mobilization, and capacity building of marginalized groups and women-led organizations.
