Program summary
Preservation of Environment and Social Welfare of Nepal (PESWAN) is implementing Resilience Future: Ending Child Marriage in Nepal Project for approximately 2 years in Bhimdatta Municipality and Dodhara Chadani Municipality of Kanchanpur districts with Partnership of Plan International Nepal. Resilience Future: Ending Child Marriage Project focuses -children, adolescents and youth, especially girls and those from marginalized groups understand the nexus between climate change and harmful practices such as child, early, and forced marriage (CEFM), gender inequality and gender-based vulnerabilities. Likewise, recognize co-relation with CEFM, climate change impact on environment, livelihood climate-resilient and adaptive economic activities for young women and vulnerable families such as regenerative agriculture and gender-responsive financial services.
1 Position: Project Coordinator
Required- 1 (One)
Type: Full time
Duty Station: PESWAN head office, Mahendranagar, Bhimdatt 18 Kanchanpur with frequent field visit to project site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure implementation of Resilient Future-Ending Child Marriage project activities at district and field level, lead implementation adhering to project standards according to Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) and Milestone.
- Provide necessary support to staff members for maintaining good coordination and cooperation with district level agencies and seek required support from government and other stakeholders at district and field level.
- Work closely with Administration, Finance, and MERL Officer for proper documentation of financial requirements, budgeting and financial reporting, data collection, analysis and storage.
- Ensure project activities are on time, target and budget and periodic recommendations from technical team and Plan International staff are implemented adhering standards.
- Provide support to project staff to enhance their knowledge, capacity and awareness of prevent child, early and force marriage, mainstreaming in local planning process.
- Support Project Officers, Social Mobilizers to organize events/workshops/trainings at district, municipality and community level.
- Capacity building of supervisee staff’s on GESI, safeguarding, budget planning, monitoring and quality assurance of implemented activities.
- Trained community and religious leaders, government officials to prevent child, early and force marriage.
- Prepare work plans (Monthly, Quarterly & Annual) with budget projection of the project and submit to Plan International
- Prepare and submit (Quarterly/Annual Progress Report) as per agreed time to Plan International.
- Support staff on preparation of case studies/success stories writing, reports and documents to capture project learning’s and good practices.
- Coordinate closely with Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning officer to generate and collect required information and data in the process of measuring results of project.
- Supervise financial reporting and assure Monthly Financial Report and other documents related to finance and compliance are prepared and submitted to Finance Department/ Plan International.
- Closely follow-up and ensure all information, documentation and reporting requirements are met and submitted to Plan International through appropriate means as and when required.
- As required by the project, liaise with and represent the program’s components to local government officials, civil society/community leaders and other key stakeholders in the district and municipality.
- Establish good coordination & collaboration with government and non-government stakeholders to optimize project support and energy.
- Plan and lead to organize regular learning sharing meetings and monitoring visits to program areas, share program progress, receive feedback from concerned agencies, and implement them.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other projects in the district, likeminded organization, District Coordination Committee (DCC), municipalities, government’s sectoral unit and department and ministries, communities and project participants to achieve the overall goal of community resilience through coordinated planning and allocation of resources.
Required experience and qualifications:
- At least Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Development Studies, Public Administration, Rural Development, Social Science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management preferably in Protection (child marriage related campaigns), Disaster Risk Management (DRM) and Climate Change (CC), Regenerative Agricultural Practices and Entrepreneurs
- Familiar with government policies and priorities in Protection, Agriculture, DRM and CC.
- Excellent facilitation skill of orientation, training and workshop.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with government officials and relevant stakeholders.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Nepali language.
- Basic computer skills (MS package, email, outlook).
2. Admin and Finance Officer
Required 1 (One)
Type: Full time
Duty Station: PESWAN head office, Mahendranagar Kanchanpur with frequent field visit to project site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vouchers; ensure proper budget coding, cheque preparation and submission for approval to concerned authorities.
- Timely payments of vendor’s bills and settlement of advance, liabilities and receivables etc. and reconcile periodically.
- Responsible for annual remuneration tax assessment, monthly pay roll, retirement fund and TDS management in close coordination with Project Coordinator and PESWAN authority.
- Ensure the financial management system is in accordance with Donor, Plan International & Organizational compliance, guidelines and International & National Accounting Standards.
- Keep books of account up to date with proper filling system.
- Maintaining log-sheet of motorbike and other inventories of Resilient Future-Ending child marriage and organization.
- Data entry into the accounting system and generate reports as and when required.
- Take lead, prepare Monthly Financial Report, and submit it to PLAN INTERNATIONAL as per agreed timeframe.
- Manage all bank transactions, petty cash funds for small transactions
- Preparation for internal, external and project audit and support during the audits.
- Day to day administration support to the project team especially on financial management and logistical requirements.
Required experience and qualifications:
- At least Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial management, accounting software, and bookkeeping.
- Familiarity with accounting software (FAMAS or quick book) will be value added.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills in English and local language.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with government officials and stakeholders.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation Research and Learning Officer
Required 1 (One)
Type: Full time
Duty Station: PESWAN head office, Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur with frequent field visit to project site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on data collection as required for preliminary assessments, baseline, end line and impact evaluation and other research and dissemination purposes.
- Develop and implement project M & E plans, frameworks, tools, and indicators in-line with the project's log frame and theory of change.
- Collect, clean, analyze, and manage quantitative and qualitative data from field activities. Organize regular field visits to assess progress, data accuracy, and quality.
- Compile and analyze monitoring data to produce timely and high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for donors and stakeholders.
- Train and support project staff on project indicators, log frame, MERL tools, methods, document success stories, case studies, and lessons learned and data quality standards.
- Maintain an updated indicator tracking table and results-based monitoring dashboard.
- Facilitate periodic reflection, learning, and adaptive planning sessions within the project team and with stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and dissemination of knowledge products, such as briefs, newsletters, and learning papers.
- Provide technical assistance in designing surveys, research, and assessments.
- Develop and manage a digital data collection system (e.g., using Kobo Toolbox, CommCare, ODK, etc.).
- Ensure data quality through routine checks, validations, and audits.
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in data handling and sharing.
Required experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in M & E in development/humanitarian programs.
- Strong knowledge of M & E methodologies (including qualitative and quantitative methods), data analysis, and reporting.
- Proven experience in using data analysis software (Excel, SPSS, STATA, etc.).
- Experience with digital data collection tools and platforms.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills in English and local language.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
4. Social mobilizer -Agriculture JTA-2 (two)
Type: Full time
Duty Station: Bhimdatta Municipality and Dodhara Chandani Municipality
Key Responsibilities:
- Formation of Agriculture Farmer Group (AFG) and other groups as per project requirement in community with close coordination of municipality, ward office as per the project guideline.
- Organize awareness raising activities in the community to prevent child, early and force marriage.
- Assist project officers and the coordinator in the effective implementation of program activities.
- Support community to implement climate smart agriculture tools and techniques.
- Prepare and facilitate the field level training, orientation, meeting and workshop in close coordination with project staff.
- Maintain good coordination and collaboration with government, and sectoral unit of municipality, private sector for smooth and quality implementation of project interventions.
- Development and mobilization of Local Leader Farmer (LLF) for mentorship and model demonstration.
- Prepare and submit field visit reports, activity summaries, and attendance sheets as per program guidelines.
- Conduct Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (VCA) of the community from the perspective of livelihood, document it and prepare implementation plan.
- Encourage active participation of young women and adolescent girls and boys in awareness and decision-making processes.
- Collect and document successful stories, data of project participants/beneficiaries.
- Advocate for the need of program and budget to act against child, early and force marriage with local government through local level planning process.
- Facilitate dialogue session between social and religious leaders to end child marriage and link with livelihood opportunities of government, develop action, and follow up.
Required experience and qualifications:
- Agriculture JTA (+2/Intermediate) or I. Sc. Agriculture
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in social mobilization and/or Climate Smart Agricultural.
- Experience in-group formation, awareness raising campaign, training facilitation and field-based advisory services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in rural field settings with frequent travel.
- Knowledge of tab-based reporting.
5. Social Mobilizer -Protection -2 (two)
Type: Full time
Duty Station: Bhimdatta Municipality and Dodhara Chandani Municipality
Key Responsibilities:
- Formation of Adolescent Girl Clubs (AGC) in community with close coordination of municipality ward office.
- Organize awareness raising activities in the community to prevent child, early and force marriage.
- Assist project officers and the coordinator in the effective implementation of program activities.
- Prepare and facilitate the field level training, orientation, meeting and workshop with close coordination of project staff.
- Conduct Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (VCA) of the community, document it and prepare implementation plan.
- Maintain good coordination between ward level stakeholders for smooth and quality implementation of project interventions.
- Prepare and submit field visit reports, activity summaries, and attendance sheets as per program guidelines.
- Encourage active participation of youth and adolescent girls and boys in awareness and decision-making processes.

- Intermediate or +2 in any discipline
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in social mobilization, social protection, Child Protection (child marriage) and Climate Resilient Agricultural Practices.
- Experience in-group formation, awareness raising campaign, training facilitation and field-based advisory services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in rural field settings with frequent travel.
- Knowledge of tab-based reporting.
