Rural Development Centre (RDC) Nepal is a non-political and non-profitable organization established in May 2002 with its head office in Rautahat District of Nepal. Since then, RDC is heavily engaged in humanitarian assistance, community development, conservation of natural resources, and environmental protection mainly in the Terai region of Nepal through the dozens of humanitarian and long-term development projects reaching out to the children, adolescent, youth, women, landless, urban poor, and people living with disabilities, HIV & AIDS, conflict and disaster survivors from the poor families of historically marginalized Dalits, Muslims, Madheshi and Indigenous communities and other underprivileged groups.

Rural Development Centre (RDC) Nepal in collaboration with GNI Nepal and UNFPA is executing a Safe and Enabling Environment for Adolescent Girls and Young Women (SAFE-Girls) Project funded by KOICA. The primary beneficiaries of the project are adolescent girls and boys 15-19 years and women of the project area. The project will be implemented in 5 Rural/Municipalities of Rautahat district - Rajpur Municipality, Dewahi Gonahi Municipality, Paroha Municipality, Gaur Municipality, and Yamunamai Rural Municipality and 3 Rural/Municipalities of Sarlahi district – Haripurwa Municipality, Basbariya Rural Municipality, and Kaudena Rural Municipality. The project aims to ensure the protection of the rights of women and girls and eliminate all harmful practices.
For the SAFE Girls Project, we are looking for the following position:

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the project across the Rautahat and Sarlahi districts and ensure that activities are designed and implemented in alignment with the project document and work plan, including the consistent application of the project’s monitoring and evaluation framework across all activities and outputs.
- Strengthen collaboration and partnership with the provincial and local governments as well as development partners to promote and facilitate gender-responsive policy, planning, and legislation through evidence-based advocacy initiatives integrated into development plans and budgets.
- Formulate and execute the capacity building plan for equipping adolescent girls and young women to act as change agents in society.
- Provide technical guidance and support to local governments to develop gender-transforming in-school CSE curricula, including resource materials, in close consultation with multiple stakeholders such as GNI and UNFPA, who are collaboratively managing the project
- Conduct periodic meetings with the technical task-team and attend regular and ad-hoc based project coordination committee’s meetings at the provincial and local levels. Serve as the focal point for coordinating project activities by liaising with GNI, provincial and local government representatives as well as planning and organizing joint activities in alignment with the project document in the assigned districts.
- Support the MEAL and Public Health departments in conducting surveys, research, and evaluations of GBV-related activities of the SAFE Girls Project and incorporate the findings from M&E activities into the work plans.
- Prepare and manage the quality of periodic (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual) reports, case studies, case stories, knowledge products, and Information, Education and Communication - Behavior Change Communication (IEC-BCC) materials concerning GBV and report to concerned authorities.
- Draft and/or adapt the activities to be implemented in the province to the local context based on in-depth understanding of the project’s result framework, multiyear strategy and annual work plan shared by the partners.
