International Nepal Fellowship (Nepal) is a non-Government Organization that was established in 1952 and serving poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal to enable life in its fullness through health and development service.  In Nepal, INF Nepal is now providing health and community development services in the provinces of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim.

INF Nepal Mugu, INF Nepal Jumla, Community Programmes, and  INF Nepal Central Office is seeking competent, skilled, service-oriented, and devoted Nepali citizen who shares our vision, missions, and values for the following position:  

1. Position: Project Officer

Required Number: 2

Location:  Jumla &  Mugu

Purpose of the Job:    

The post holder is the lead person responsible for the timely implementation of the inclusive health services for the people of the Jumla and Mugu districts project and ensures the highest performance of work, desired results, and impact of the project. In order to ensure the project’s long-term viability, s/he is also responsible for maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, both government and non-government.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and, Knowledge:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or in any relevant discipline with a minimum of three years of experience in leading community development or disability inclusion projects. Candidates having experience in disability-related work are an advantage. 
  • Experience as a project leader, budget holder as well as knowledge of the government’s and funding partner’s compliance requirements, are advantageous.
  • Project planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships.
  • Good coordination and collaboration among district stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of the project management cycle.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team management and leadership skills.
  • Fluency in oral and written English.
  • Willing to work in a remote area and maintain high standards with minimum supervision.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently within the project area and to other INF centers.
  • In agreement with the vision, mission, and values of INF.

2. Position: Project Supervisor

Required Number: 4

Location:  Jumla-2, Mugu-2

Purpose of the Job:    

The project supervisor is responsible for the overall execution, facilitation, coordination, and monitoring of project operations in specified communities in project working areas in collaboration with the Project Officer. 

The incumbent will collaborate with Municipality and Rural Municipality level duty bearers, as well as civil society, to improve the livelihood condition of right holders (marginalized people with disabilities) through project interventions. The post holder will work closely with the government, local authorities, and other appropriate line agencies to fulfill the project's objectives.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and knowledge:

  • Must have an intermediate degree in any discipline, an Intermediate degree in Physiotherapy is an advantage.
  • Must have a minimum of two years of work experience in project implementation at the supervisory level.
  • Training delivery and facilitation skills in planning and reporting are required.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Coordination, lobbying, networking and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to handle project implementation under limited supervision.
  • Good written and spoken English and Nepali language.
  • Willing to travel and spend considerable time in working areas.
  • Committed to the Values of INF Nepal.

3. Disability Technical Coordinator

Required Number: 1

Location: Central Office, Pokhara

Purpose of the Job:    

To provide leadership, capacity building, and technical support (community-based rehabilitation) for the mainstreaming of disability in all projects and development of strategies and methodologies to promote disability inclusion in both the treatment and development contexts of INF Nepal.  

Required Qualifications, Skills, and knowledge:

  • Must have a Master’s in Social Sciences, Humanities, or any relevant subject, with a minimum of five years of experience in disability-related work in the social development space or a hospital setting.
  • Must have experience in and a clear understanding of the project management life cycle regarding disability inclusion and disability projects and the implementation of those projects at the district level.
  • Good understanding of project planning, design, and budgeting.
  • Experience facilitating capacity-building training and developing curriculum in disability-related thematic areas is required.
  • Experience in church and disability work or theology of disability work.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient communication skills (spoken and written) in both English and Nepali.
  • Good computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willing and able to travel extensively to all INF work areas.
  • Being a role model and genuinely supporting INFs mission and vision, as well as passionately demonstrating INF’s values in work settings and relationships.
