HURAC has hereby invites application from interested and qualified candidates for the following full-time positions for the KOICA/UNFPA funded Safe and enabling environment for adolescent girls and young women (SAFE-Girls) & Ending Child Marriage (ECM) Project implementing by Human Rights Awareness Centre (HURAC-Nepal) Rolpa in partnership with PLAN International Nepal to working in the different local level of Rolpa and Kaplavastu Districts. SAFE-Girls project’s goal is to empower adolescent girls and young women, both individually and collectively, to combat and respond to GBV and harmful practices, while increasing their access to sexual and reproductive health and rights, including in humanitarian emergencies.

The Global Programme to End Child Marriage (ECM) is a 15-year initiative (2016–2030) aligned with SDG target 5.3, which seeks to eliminate harmful practices, including child marriage. It focuses on adolescent girls aged 10–19 especially those at risk of marriage or already married, including Nepal. The programme’s goal is to protect girls’ rights, prevent early marriage and pregnancy, and expand opportunities for them to pursue education and alternative life paths.

Position: Field Officers- 4:

Duty Station: (Kapilvastu District - Maharajgunj, Krishnanagar, & Kapilvastu Mun, Rolpa District- Paibartan RM)

Contract Period – 1st September 2025 to 31st December 2025 (extendable based on fund availability until 2027).


Qualification and experiences:

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Bachelor's in Nursing, Bachelor's in social science with HA/Nursing background, Bachelor's in Health Education with 2 years of relevant field level working experiences.  

Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare and implement the monthly, quarterly and annual work plan of project
  • Facilitate the District, Palika and field level training, meetings, orientations to adolescents' girls and boys' group, young women groups formed in and out of school.
  • Provide support to adolescents in the schools through adolescent's girls and boys groups and facilitate and follow up to ensure that support is provided in a timely and quality manner;
  • Coordinate with local government and related sections for the smooth implementation of the programme.
  • Coordinate with and SMCs to establish and implement the Safe Space programs.
  • Monitor and manage the safe space and CSE/AFIC program in the schools and community.
  •  Coordinate with ward and palika level relevant stakeholders and provide the information as per project and organization policy and strategic relationship with them;
  •  Represent the organization in community as per requirement consulting with supervisor;
  •  Conduct regular meetings (and visits) with teachers, health perosns, representatives of local government and facilitate the identification of adolescents in need and adequate solutions;
  •  Ensure that child safeguarding standards are understood and met;
  • Submit monthly status and other periodic report to supervisor, M&E officer and; board management as well as.
  • Performs other functions relative to Child Protection activities and initiatives that may be assigned by the organization
  •  Provide Mentoring and coaching to thte mentors and Fascilitators at the field level for smooth implementation of RUPANTARAN sessions and related activities
  • Conduct the different community level survey, assessment, study, FGD, KII as required in project.
  •  Provide necessary support to the project team to conduct the different level training, orientation, workshop of project.
  •  Influence to the local government to review and develop the required policy documents as relevant to the project.
