Association for Social Transformation and Humanitarian Assistance (ASTHA) Nepal is Nonprofit, non-government and nonpolitical Humanitarian development organization. ASTHA Nepal is implementing Integrated Protection and Community Engagement Project with the partnership of World Vision International Nepal in Mellkeh Rural Municipality and Sanfebagar Municipality of Achham West Cluster and Panchadewal Binayak Municipality and Kamalbazar Municipality of Achham East Cluster. Now ASTHA Nepal Achham is seeking the following candidates. ASTHA Nepal invites interested and eligible candidates who are professional, result oriented and accountable in the field of mention below:

IProtection Field Officer – 1
  • Bachelor in Social Work, child rights, human rights or relevant discipline with five year of experience in Child protection related project (preferably system strengthening and life skills projects)
  • Knowledge on child protection mechanism, life skills and child club management, positive parenting and positive discipline child marriage, child labor and gender-based violence and ability to analyze context to inform the project.
  • Well informed and disseminate message on Protection Sector and priorities, project model (Child Protection & Advocacy-system strengthening, Life skills)
  • Knowledge related on Government policy, programme priorities, needs and issues in relation to the sector priorities
Field Based Position with frequent travel to Office.
2Community Engagement and Sponsorship Plan (CESP) -Field Mobiliser- 4
  • Higher Secondary degree (+ 2) in any relevant field [Essential]
  • Higher Secondary degree (+ 2) in any relevant field with more than 1 years’ experience in Sponsorship Field. [preferred]
  • Understanding of poverty issues, development theories and sustainable development practices and knowledge on child rights  
  • Strong understanding of community dynamics with skills to communicate and build rapport with children and community
  • Good translation skills both English to Nepali and vice versa [Preferred]
  • Strong coordination skills with local level stakeholders (Parents, school management committee, child clubs, health institutions, M/Rural municipality, wards, cooperatives and various community groups)
  • Latest technology friendly (Use of Smart phones, digital cameras, tablets)
  • Computer and Technology literacy; Good computer skills including Word and Excel [preferred]
  • Strategic alignment 
  • Knowledge around CP and CFLG mechanism at the local level 
Field Based Position with frequent travel to Office.
