Shechen Karuna is a reputable Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to contributing to reducing poverty through altruism in action philosophy. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic, experienced and self-motivated individual for the following position.

1) Position Title: Project Officer – Disaster & Climate Resilience

Duty Station: Kapilvastu Field Office

Reports to: Program Coordinator (Head of Field Office) and Program Manager – Education and Environment

Contract Type: Fixed term

Duration: 1 year

The Project Officer – Disaster & Climate Resilience will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and monitoring project activities aimed at strengthening the capacity of local stakeholders to prepare for and respond to disaster and climate risks, while supporting school safety and environmental education initiatives. The role involves close coordination with local government bodies, schools, community members, and partner organizations to ensure timely and quality delivery of all planned interventions under the project.
