Rural Development Tuki Association (RDTA), is a pioneering community based developmental organization established in 1991 in Dolakha. RDTA gained its legal status with registration under Government of Nepal, District Administrative Office, Dolakha in 1991. It is registered in Social Welfare Council and affiliated with NGO Federation of Nepal as well. RDTA is a union of Tukis spread throughout the Dolakha district. Tuki is a community based model leader farmer who is empowered on various social developmental phenomenons and can disseminate what s/he has learned in the community. So, Tukis are agencies for pioneering knowledge dissemination and community development.There are Tukis in almost every village of the district. RDTA aims to uplift the living standard of poor and marginalized peoples. It is determined to give momentum to sustainable community development initiative through good governance, community empowerment, sustainable resource mobilization and institutional development.

Rural Development Tuki Association (RDTA), conceptually founded in 1977 and officially registered in 1991 in District Administration Office Dolakha, is a nonprofit making, non-governmental organization. From its inception it has been working with different development partners especially focused in Dolakha district of Nepal. 

Currently, this association is implementing Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) Project in Dolakha district through partnership with Save the Children International-SCI targeting to victims of devastating earthquake of April and May 2015. 

Rural Development Tuki (RDTA) Association is seeking qualified and dynamic Nepali citizen for the following position. 

Brief Description of Job Position: Project Officer - 1 position

LOCATION: Based in Charikot, Dolakha with frequent field visits 

Rural Development Tuki Association, Dolakha is seeking a project officer to ensure effective management of the project. The position will require close working with executive director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The project officer will be responsible to:

  • Bear responsibility to implement the project, 
  • Coordination with district level line agencies, development organizations and stakeholders,
  • Planning, implementation regular supervision of the project activities and timely completion of the project achieving the target,
  • Mobilization of team and resources providing support to Staff members,
  • Prepare required documents; fulfill the compliances and timely reporting to the SCI.

Qualification/Skills Required:

  • A Nepali National, having age of 30 years and above.
  • At least of Bachelor Degree in management, Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies or any other relevant disciplines 
  • At least two year of substantial experience in managerial capacity/relevant post
  • Minimum of two year relevant experience in the field of project related activities in the field level
  • Planning and report writing is must,
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Good communication skill in English and Nepali,
  • Sound knowledge in computer (MS Office and Outlook)
  • Having good interpersonal qualities and facilitation skills, result oriented, leadership, proactive, and positive attitude are other required qualities for the position.
