Project information:
TPO Nepal is implementing a project “Mental Health Support Programme (MSP) Nepal” supported by UNFPA in Madhes province. The project aims to improve the mental health and psychosocial wellbeing of communities in Nepal, including disadvantaged groups and conflict-affected populations, through the institutionalization of quality Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services within the public health system.
TPO Nepal seeks competent, committed, and result-oriented candidate for the following position;
Position: Project Coordinator (PC)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Madhesh Province (Dhanusha)
Time: 7 Months
Start date: As soon as possible
Required qualification and experience;
- Minimum Master’s degree in Psychology is required. Master’s degree public health, epidemiology, global health/global mental health, social work, or related fields with experience of mental health field is preferable.
- At least three years of working experience in MHPSS program implementation in the community setting as project coordinator/lead.
Role and Responsibilities;
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the effective coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure the effective and timely implementation of all project activities in line with approved plans and donor requirements.
- Maintain regular communication and coordination with the project team, training participants, government stakeholders, implementing partners, and relevant agencies.
- Coordinate project activities and training programmes in close collaboration with the UNFPA field team and other relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee the planning, logistics management, and quality delivery of training sessions, workshops, meetings, and other project events.
- Monitor project progress and ensure activities are implemented according to agreed timelines and standards.
- Prepare and submit required reports, including quarterly reports, event reports, progress updates, and project completion reports, to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
- Support documentation, data management, and coordination efforts to ensure effective project implementation and reporting.

- Leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of existing health systems and services.
- Experience of working with NGOs/INGOs and Ministry and Community Psychosocial Workers (CPSWs).
- Knowledge and previous work experience in mental health and Psychosocial Program programs.
- Good command on both written and spoken English and Nepali languages.
- Good proficiency in computer skills.
- Prior experience of project planning, design, and implementation.
