Hilly Region Development Campaign (HRDC) is implementing the SAHAYATRA II project in partnership with Save the Children International to improve student’s basic education, support in implementing UNCRC by government and Civil Society, create safe and protective environment for children in school, health facilities and other community settings in Kushe Rural Municipality of Jajarkot District. Thus, HRDC invites applications from suitable Nepali candidates for the following full-time position for Sahayatra II project:

1. Project Coordinator - CRG & CP: – 1 (One) (Based in Kushe Rural Municipality, Jajarkot) 

Key Responsibilities: The Project Coordinator- CRG & CP will be responsible for overall management of CRG & CP programs in selected Kuse Rural Municipality, including ECCD, Basic Education including CCDRR in close coordination and collaboration with WCRC, RMCRC, Women and Children department and Safe School themes under the Sahayatra II Project. S/He will provide backstop support to CP/CRG Section/Women and Children Section of the Rural Municipality in preparation, implementation and monitoring of activities planned by them in CRG & CP Sector. S/He will work by collaborative effort with District Education Coordination Unit (DECU), Municipal Education departments/offices, SMC, WCRC, RMCRC and different relevant stakeholders, and timely implementation of planned activities. 

In Addition, the position holder will be also responsible for ensuring quality delivery of the project at implementing sites by maximizing the impact as per the organizational goal and project strategies. S/he will make effective planning, quality implementation, monitoring, reporting, and financial and stakeholder management in close consultation and guidance from the Program Manager. S/he will also work to strengthen networking and collaboration with child rights/ civil society organizations to promote child rights. The position holder will need to work in close coordination with SCI project team in the district and technical person as well.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Minimum of 3 years, (2 years for GESI group*) Experience on child right based project implementation in the field of development and CRG & CP sector. 
  • Master's Degree in Education/Management, Social Science or relevant discipline.
  • Good understanding of CRG & CP, Education System, Humanitarian context, Empowering and Advocacy issues in Nepal/ District.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of project planning framework, tools and indicator settings.
  • Evidence based monitoring and evaluation frameworks and programs, with emphasis on participatory and partnership program planning approaches.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and good report writing skills.
  • Familiarity with Project Cycle Management, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Strong interpersonal and self-awareness skills.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake extensive travel in the project area.

Hilly Region Development Campaign, a highly recognized NGO working in a diversified sector and geography of Jajarkot is searching for the potential candidates for Suaahara II Program funded by USAID with the Partnership of Helen Keller International (HKI), CARE Nepal, FHI 360, NTAG, VDRC, Equal access and ENPHO. The candidate should demonstrate developed communications and influencing skills, excellent knowledge of area of work and increasingly contribute to team planning, proactively leads more responsibility and/or more difficult areas of work in agreement with line manager.

2. Position: Program Coordinator (PC) (1 Nos.)

Job Location: Jajarkot Office with 60 % field

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, MAIN DUTIES

  • Support to Program Coordinator for conducting district orientation and develop Detailed Implementation Planning (DIP) with District Health offices, DCC, Rural municipalities, Municipalities and NGO and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate to conduct RM/UM level stakeholder planning, meeting, orientation, training and other relevant activities of Suaahara.
  • Plan and implement project activities in the working district. Coordinate with Suaahara II Sub Office to implement program effectively and smoothly.
  • Coordinate and liaison with DCC /RM/UM to allocate fund for the Suaahara activities in the district.
  • Coordinate Suaahara II district team, district line agencies, related offices and networks for planning and implementing Suaahara II program activities.
  • Supervise and monitor the field program and provide constructive feedbacks to filed team.
  • Ensure close monitoring of activities and performing field visits in order to assess the implementation of Suaahara activities.
  • Provide support and program input to field supervisors and where need to Female Community Health Volunteer (FCHVs)/ Village Model Farmer (VMF), Outreach Clinics, local clubs and CBOs
  • Support /Conduct/ organizes various district and community level activities, trainings, workshops and other required activities.
  • Monitor, mentor and supervise to field supervisors and community nutrition facilitators.
  • Prepare monthly/ quarterly/semiannual/annuals plans
  • Produce & submit monthly/quarterly/ semiannual/annual reports of the programs on time. Collect and document important case studies/stories.
  • Provide support to the evaluation and monitoring
  • Attend and share program progress and challenges in district level stakeholders’ review meeting in coordination with program coordinator.

Educational Qualification and experience:

  • Bachelor in Public Health/ Social Sciences with minimum 3 Years of work experience in I/NGOs
  • Preference will be given to experienced & local candidate
  • Proficiency on English and Nepali language. 
  • Having valid motorbike/Scooter license
  • Have well knowledge and skills on Computer
