We are a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization established in 2019, working to strengthen implementation science research for improved public health outcomes in Nepal. As part of our commitment to excellence and effective program delivery, we are seeking qualified, motivated individuals to join our team as Program Officers.
About the Position:
We are seeking motivated and dynamic Program Officers to support the implementation, monitoring, and coordination of community and health facility-based public health interventions. The Program Officers will work closely with municipalities, health facilities, Health Workers (HWs), Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs), Field Supervisors, and project teams to ensure effective program delivery and quality implementation.
Each Program Officer will be responsible for coordinating activities across assigned municipalities and supporting ongoing monitoring, documentation, qualitative data collection, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Coordination and Capacity Building
- Attend municipality and health facility meetings and maintain regular coordination with key stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary focal person for assigned municipalities and health facilities.
- Support orientation and refresher training sessions for Health Workers and FCHVs as required.
Field Monitoring and Support
- Conduct regular field visits to observe community activities, including group meetings and home visits.
- Provide supportive supervision and feedback to field teams.
- Identify implementation challenges and support problem-solving efforts.
Process Tracking and Documentation
- Monitor progress of project activities at health facilities and community levels.
- Document achievements, challenges, action points, and lessons learned.
- Maintain high-quality field notes, monitoring records, and supporting documentation.
Qualitative Data Collection
- Conduct periodic reflection interviews with health workers and stakeholders.
- Support transcription, data organization, and qualitative analysis processes.
Reporting and Communication
- Participate in regular coordination meetings.
- Update trackers, prepare reports, and ensure timely submission of documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Project Coordinators, Field Supervisors, municipalities, and health facilities.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health
- Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay in the field site and work closely with local stakeholders.
- Good documentation and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Google drive applications (Google sheet, Google slides, Google docs, etc).
- Fluency in Nepali and working proficiency in English.
Preferred:
- Experience working with municipalities, health facilities, or community health programs.
- Experience in qualitative data collection, interviews, transcription, or implementation research.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation processes and implementation science frameworks.
