Opportunity for Field Researchers (Enumerators)

Help tell Nepal’s stories. Sharecast Data Initiative is a Nepal based research firm known for its media surveys and opinion polls. Our mission is to capture the voices of communities and use data to inform public dialogue and policy.

We’re expanding of field researchers for upcoming projects. We have one starting beginning of 2026. This is a great chance to gain hands on research experience while travelling across the country and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.

What you’ll do

As part of a field data collection team, you will:

• conduct structured interviews using tablet based survey tools (we provide training);
• build rapport with respondents and ask questions accurately and respectfully;
• travel to urban and rural locations, often in teams, to ensure broad representation;
• uphold ethical research standards and maintain confidentiality of the data you collect.

What we’re looking for

We care more about curiosity and integrity than years of experience. You’re likely a good fit if you:

• pay close attention to detail and can follow survey protocols precisely;
• are comfortable using smartphones, tablets and basic productivity tools (Google Drive, Google Sheets, MS Word, Excel) or are eager to learn;
• can travel extensively and adapt to different living and working environments;
• speak fluent Nepali and at least one regional language;
• enjoy meeting new people and have good communication skills;
• are honest and committed to ethical data collection.

Previous experience in surveys or data collection and familiarity with research ethics are an advantage.

Positions available

We plan to onboard 50 field researchers into our roster. Shortlisted candidates will take part in a practical assessment to demonstrate their skills.
