Role Overview Summary

National Volunteer- Resilient Livelihood & CSO Accountability Coordinator will work closely with the VSO and partners team to facilitate the implementation of Agroecology and livelihoods interventions under Active Citizens Through Inclusive Volunteering and Empowerment (ACTIVE Program). ACTIVE aims to foster inclusive, open, resilient, and gender-equitable societies by supporting transformative changes in thematic priorities of Humanitarian, Health, Climate and Economic Growth health, livelihoods, and education systems for marginalized communities. 

Specifically, this role is focused on promoting resilient livelihoods and agro-ecological practices in the farmer groups, mother groups in identified municipalities in Surkhet district. It includes supporting partner organizations in planning the activities, coordinating with farmer groups, mother groups and other local level stakeholders and providing advisory oversight into the designing and implementation of livelihoods and agro-ecological practices.

Additional Information

Allowance and accommodation: All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home.

VSO works with some of the poorest communities in the world which means accommodation varies and will be basic.
