VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Swisscontact, established in 1959 in Switzerland, is a leading partner organisation for the implementation of international development projects. Swisscontact, registered as an International Non-Governmental Organisation in Nepal, has been operating in Nepal since 1991. Currently, Swisscontact in Nepal has six development programmes across all seven provinces.
The Municipal Revenue Enhancement Project (MunRev) is a bilateral initiative of the Governments of Nepal and Switzerland, implemented by the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoLMCFAGA) and selected 12 partner municipalities of Koshi and Bagmati Provinces, with technical assistance from Swisscontact in Nepal. MunRev supports local governments to strengthen own-source revenue and tax compliance, improve inclusive and transparent public service delivery, and foster cross-government learning for better-informed fiscal policy, with gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) mainstreamed throughout. Through these efforts, the project aims to enhance the fiscal capacity of local governments and improve services for all citizens, including women and disadvantaged groups.
Swisscontact in Nepal invites applications from the committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following positions.
Position: Knowledge Management and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (MoLMCFAGA, Kathmandu)
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in development studies, economics, public policy, social sciences, statistics, or a related field. Master’s degree in related field will be an advantage.
- At least five years' relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning and/or knowledge management, preferably in governance, PFM, or local-development projects in Nepal.
Position: IT and Digitalisation Officer, Biratnagar
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree in a relevant field will be an advantage.
- Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in IT systems management, MIS, digitalization, e-governance, or digital transformation initiatives.
Position: Office Secretary, Biratnagar
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or an equivalent field; a specialisation in Human Resources is an advantage.
- At least three years’ work experience in administration and HR, preferably in the development-cooperation sector with donor agencies, or international and national NGOs.
Position: Finance Officer, Biratnagar
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accountancy, Financial Management, or a relevant field. Master’s degree will be an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably with donor-funded projects, NGOs/INGOs, or development cooperation organizations.
Position: Finance Assistant, Biratnagar
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Must be complected Higher Secondary Education (+2 level) in Management. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field will be an advantage.
- At least two years of work experience in the development sector (NGO/INGOs).
Position: Administrative Assistant, Biratnagar
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Must be complected Higher Secondary Education (+2 level) in Management. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field will be an advantage.
- At least two years of work experience in the development sector (NGO/INGOs).
Position: Driver –02 (Koshi and Bagmati Province with frequent travel)
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Must be complected Secondary Education Examination (SEE)/School Leaving Certificate (SLC). Completing Higher Secondary Education (+2 level) in a related field will be an advantage.
- Minimum of three years’ work experience in a similar position, preferably with donors and INGOs.
