Practical action seeks to recruit a 'Knowledge Officer' to work in Practical Action, based in Kathmandu, Nepal.

About the role

We are looking for a competent Knowledge Officer to provide leadership and support to strengthen the research and knowledge planning and delivery of the Project. You will provide expert support in finalising the content and production of knowledge products; lead, facilitate and support to capture and document the project knowledge by staff and partners where possible. You will use online platform and social media to disseminate project knowledge and work with other partners as well as Practical Action staff to develop the Nepali flood resilience portal version as a common platform of sharing flood resilience information by all organisations working on flood resilience in Nepal and provide support to the country programme team in the design and implementation of programme activities and advocacy efforts.

About you

You are experienced and credible in contributing technical leadership to project/local partner team. You are confident in producing and managing professional content for development in Nepal particularly related to disaster risk reduction/Flood Resilience Measurement for Communities (FRMC) approach. You are experienced in preparation of professional knowledge documents, case studies and research findings. You have proven experience in content preparation, communication material design and production. You have willingness and enthusiasm to work in challenging, difficult situations and with multidisciplinary team.
