1. Position Summary:
Health Program Support Volunteer will support the planning, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescent health–related projects. This position is primarily based at the Kathmandu Head Office, with limited field exposure to support project activities. The role is designed to provide hands-on learning and professional development opportunities for recent public health and nursing graduates.
2. Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Support health program activities, including planning, coordination, and implementation support
- Assist in data collection, compilation, analysis, and basic reporting of program activities
- Support preparation of reports, presentations, case studies, and learning documents
- Assist in coordination with field teams, local partners, and stakeholders
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and workshops related to health programs
- Support monitoring, documentation, and learning processes of ongoing projects
- Undertake field visits (approximately 10%) as required to support project implementation and supervision
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator and Program Director
3. Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health (BPH) or Nursing (BN)
- Recently completed BPH or BN graduates or freshers are encouraged to apply.
- Required Skills and Competences:
- Strong learning attitude and motivation to work in public health and development sectors
- Basic understanding of national priority programs related to RMNCAH, including community health programs.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) in both Nepali and English
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and follow organizational guidance
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative.
4. Learning and Growth Opportunity
This volunteer position offers practical exposure to health programs and organizational processes. High-performing volunteers may be considered for a full-time position, subject to organizational requirements, project needs, and performance evaluation.
5. Contract and Remuneration
- Contract Type: Volunteer (full-time)
- Contract Duration: 6 months (renewable based on performance and funding availability)
- Remuneration: Nominal support will be provided to cover travel and related expenses, approximately NPR 10,000 per month.
- Includes field allowances and travel cost reimbursement.
- Lunch Facility: Provided by the organization
