Health Promotion Officer

1. Position Purpose:
The Health Promotion Officer (HPO) will lead field implementation of the Promoting Health in Schools Phase II project under the guidance of the District Program Officer and Program Coordinator. The HPO will coordinate, implement, and monitor all school-based health promotion interventions in targeted schools and health facilities of Phaktanglung RM and Sirijangha RM.
The position plays a crucial role in strengthening school-level health promotion, delivering teacher training, liaising with local stakeholders, and ensuring project activities are implemented effectively, inclusively, and sustainably.
2. Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Health Education, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Health Education or Health Promotion preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of field experience in school-based health education, field-level health promotion activities, or school health programs.
- Prior experience working in remote, mountainous regions of Nepal is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to coordinate with multiple government and community stakeholders (Education, Health, RM Offices).
- Experience in teacher training, facilitation, or health education program design and evaluation preferred.
