iDE, a global organization that advances market-based approaches in agriculture, finance, and WASH to create income and livelihood opportunities for low-income rural households, is recruiting a Finance and Admin Assistant for its iDE Regional Office, Pokhara. Position Title: Finance and Admin Assistant

Required No: One (Female Only)

Duty station: iDE Nepal Pokhara Regional Office

Job Summary: 

Under the direct supervision of the Field Program Team Leader, the Finance and Admin Assistant will be responsible for book-keeping, maintenance of the financial records, payments to the vendors and staff, and support in the day-to-day operation of the regional office in close coordination with the Center Office Finance Team.

Major duties and responsibilities:

Financial:

  • Prepare vouchers, ledger posting, book-keeping, and financial reporting
  • Complete bank reconciliation on a monthly basis. 
  • Oversee timely payment of recurring expenses (supplies, utilities, communications, etc.) 
  • Prepare the details of VAT and the corresponding documents for the periodic VAT reimbursement process. 
  • Oversee the petty cash account.  
  • Ensure timely payment of taxes and its reporting to the IRD and the Country Office. 
  • Monitor the financial transaction of the Regional Office and Local NGO during the program implementation. 
  • Financial Reporting to Country Office on monthly basis. 

Administrative

  • Support the overall team to run day-to-day office activities. 
  • Ensure that timesheets/attendance are signed off and filed on a monthly basis.   
  • Logistic management for the events like workshops, training, visits, etc. 
  • Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor  
  • Record keeping and sending Center Office verified regional staff monthly timesheet.
  • Record keeping and tracking regional staff leave.

Key Requirements:

  • Intermediate degree in accounting with three years of experience in the relevant field or bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience.
  • Computer skills including spreadsheets. 
  • Knowledge of Income Tax Laws of Nepal
  • Hands-on experience with FAMAS accounting software or ERP.
  • Good spoken and written skills in both English and Nepali.
