Village Development and Save the Environment Forum (VDSEF) Nepal is a non-profit organization with over 31 years of experience working in Kalikot district. VDSEF focuses on child rights, maternal and neonatal health, nutrition, climate change adaptation, poverty reduction, and the promotion of the economic, social, and cultural rights of marginalized and disadvantaged communities. The organization strives to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development in Kalikot through inclusive and community-driven initiatives.
VDSEF Nepal has a strong history of collaboration with civil society organizations (CSOs) and government agencies to uplift the most vulnerable groups, including women (especially single mothers), children, adolescents, elderly persons, Dalits, ethnic minorities, and people with disabilities.
Currently, VDSEF Nepal is implementing SAHAYATRA-III project in partnership with save the Children. These projects are being carried out in Tilagupha Municipality and Subhakalika Rural Municipality. Together, they aim to ensure rural, vulnerable children’s rights to education, child protection, resilience, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), with a commitment to the principle of "Leaving No Child Behind."
VDSEF Nepal is now seeking applications from qualified and dedicated Nepali citizens for the following positions under these projects.
Position: Field Officer- SRHR (SAHAYATRA-III) -1 (One)
Duty station: Project Office, Subhakalika Rural Municipality, Kalikot
Report to: Project Coordinator-SRHR
Salary and Benefits: As per the organization's norms commensurate with the project agreement
Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator–SRHR, the Field Officer will lead and implement community-level SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) activities in coordination with health facilities, mentors, youth groups, and local stakeholders. The role focuses on ensuring quality SRHR service delivery through technical support, collaboration, coaching, and monitoring while promoting adolescent engagement and behavior change at the community and health facility levels.
Key role includes:
- Coordinate with local government, health institutions, schools, and youth groups to implement SRHR activities.
- Support formation and facilitation of adolescent/youth groups and deliver “Healthy Transitions” sessions.
- Provide onsite coaching and mentoring to health workers and mentors for improved SRHR/RMNH services.
- Organize community dialogues, awareness campaigns, and school-based SBC (Social and Behavior Change) activities.
- Monitor field activities, assess technical needs, and ensure quality standards and timely reporting.
- Document case studies, success stories, challenges, and lessons learned for reporting and learning purposes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing with at least 1 year of relevant work experience in health-related projects.
OR
- PCL Nursing or Health Assistant (H.A.) with a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated work experience in community health or SRHR-related programs.
