Community Development and Environment Conservation Forum Nepal (CDECF-Nepal), the leading NGO based in Sindhupalchok district working in the various sectors i.e., Agriculture, WASH, Maternal and child health, Livelihood, Social Mobilization, Conflict Management, Human Right and Community Based Disaster Risk Management, Community Infrastructure for 25 years. Currently, CDECF is seeking qualified, result oriented and self-motivated Nepali citizens for the following positions under its "Developing a community centric Early Warning protocol for Landslide Early Warning System (EWS) to build resilience of communities exposed to hydro-climate hazards in Bagmati Provence of Nepal" supported by Practical Action Nepal. The project focuses its intervention on Community based landslide early warning system, DEOC & LEOC strengthening and DRR in Pachapokhari Thanpal rural municipality and Helambu rural municipality of Sindhupalchok district Candidates meeting mentioned criteria are highly encouraged to apply. 

1. Vacancy No. 12/080/081

1.1. Position: Field Coordinator: No 1 (Based in Melamchi, Sindupalchowk District) 

1.2. Qualifications/experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from recognized institution in environment, DRR/EWS, Geology, Civil engineer, or any related field with a minimum of five years’ experience in planning, and implementation of the project. Preferred master’s degree in environment, DRR/EWS, Geology, Civil engineer.

1.3 Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall management, planning and implementation of project.
  • Ability to track the project activities and budget in right path.
  • Do all necessary liaison and coordination with Municipality/Rural Municipality and other stakeholders to broaden the impacts of project. In addition, leveraging fund by integration of project activities in their annual plan through planning process.
  • Lead and facilitate the staff monthly meeting for sharing and discussion and to ensure monthly action plan from respective field staffs along with presence of funding partner and CDECF.
  • Carry training and orientation at community level along with different stakeholders and institutions to raise the awareness on DRR, EWS etc.
  • Massive field visit for building network, coordination, and collaborative efforts with respective stakeholders. 
  • Make a monitoring plan, share with board members and funding partner, and adhere to it accordingly.
  • Be responsible and accountable on the expenditure of all budgets and ensure its compliance with the policies of CDECF and its funding partner.
  • Generate lessons learned and best practices/success stories/case stories for learning.
  • Mobilize, supervise, and support all the project staffs for smooth implementation of the project.
  • Participate in capacity building activities organized by the organization.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly report as per requirement of funding partner on timely and regular basis.
  • Ensures work plans to be effective after discussed with funding partner, ED, and project team.
  • Good facilitation, presentation, coordination, and reporting skills. 
  • Knowledge on Microsoft office package like excel, word, power point, will be an added advantage.
  • Priority given to two-wheeler license holder.
