KIRDARC (Karnali Integrated Rural Development and Research Centre) is a civil society organization with extensive experience in health, nutrition, gender equality, livelihoods, and policy advocacy, particularly in remote districts of Karnali Province. Since 2023, KIRDARC has been working in partnership with Terre des hommes (TDH) Germany to promote the health and nutrition rights of girls and women in rural and marginalized communities. The project will be implemented in Nepal, India, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, aiming to improve:

  • Gender-responsive health and nutrition outcomes
  • Income opportunities and food security for marginalized women and youth
  • Community capacity, advocacy, and SDG engagement (SDGs 2, 3, and 5)

Terre des hommes (TDH) Germany is an international children’s rights organization committed to protecting children, promoting health, and advancing gender equality and social justice. TDH works globally with local partners to strengthen community systems, influence policies, and ensure that the rights of children, girls, and women are respected and fulfilled.

A feasibility study conducted prior to project design confirmed the relevance, feasibility, and sustainability of the intervention. Its recommendations have been fully integrated into the project design. As part of the project’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) framework, a comprehensive baseline study will establish benchmark values for all approved indicators in the project log frame.

The purpose of this consultancy is to carryout Baseline Study of Gender Specific Strengthening of Women’s and Girls’ health and nutrition rights. for this, KIRDARC Nepal requires experienced and qualified consultancy firms/consultants based on attached term of reference.

Required Documents:

The individual consultant/consultancy firms are requested to submit the following:

  • Updated CV(s) of team members
  • A brief technical proposal including understanding of EOI and proposed methodology to accomplish the deliverable and tentative work plan with timelines,
  • Detailed financial proposal.
  • Copy of VAT registration, Company registration and renewal, Tax clearance certificate for Fiscal Year 2081/082
  • Signed due diligence documents.
  • Samples of similar work

Application Procedure:

Interested and eligible consultancy firms/consultants are requested to submit the sealed proposal with required documents no later than 10 March 2026 to KIRDARC Nepal, Coordination Office, Sanepa Lalitpur, contact number +977 01 5421678/5448321.

Bid received after the deadline will not be considered and only shortlisted firms will be called for further process. Canvassing at any stage of process shall lead to automatic disqualification. The organization reserves all rights to qualify/disqualify application with or without providing any reasons whatsoever. All bids will be treated with the highest confidentiality.
