The word "Tuki" conceptually founded in 1977 to reflect the trained leader farmers who lighten the lights of skill and knowledge in their dark area in the rural village. This organization has been officially registered as Tuki Association Sunkoshi (TASK) in 1992 in District Administration Office Sindhupalchok. It is a nonprofit making, non-governmental organization. From its inception it has been working with different development partners in Sindhupalchok district of Nepal. Currently, Tuki has been implementing Suaahara II Project in all local levels (Palikas) of the district funded by USAID/HKI for the improvement of health and nutrition status of 1000 days mother and the children and Education for Hope Project in 3 local levels(Palikas)funded by Child Fund Japan. The motto of the project is to improve learning achievement of the students. Both projects are being operated in the district since 2012.

Besides, the organization has work experience with different partners like Swiss Development Cooperation, Save the Children, GTZ, AUS-AID, CARITAS Switzerland, Help Germany ev, Plan International, CARE Nepal, UNICEF, UNDP, FAO, Australian government, CECI through government of Canada, Implementing the projects ineducation, child protection, health and nutrition, social protection, good governance, livelihood promotion, disaster risk reduction, relief and rescue, reconstruction , rehabilitation and recovery.. Similarly, Tuki has been being involved in community facilitation in the area of agriculture, health and education system strengthening, advocacy, literacy promotion, child protection, empowerment of community groupsetcat the household and community level in the district.

Currently, Tuki Association Sunkoshi is seeking highly qualified and dynamic Nepali citizen for the following position 

JOB POSITION:  Executive Director cum Grants Manager - 1 position

LOCATION: Based in Tuki central office, Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-6, Thumpakhar with frequent visits to Chautara project office and field travels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Executive director cum Grants Manager is responsible for the overall management of the organization by making close coordination and collaboration with all local level governments (9 Rural municipalities and 3 Municipalities) in the district and funding partners. S/he also hasto make effective coordination and build linkage with district level stakeholders and province level government too. S/he will work closely with all project heads/team leader and stakeholders for planning,fund rising, implementation and monitoring including facilitation in meeting/orientation. Similarly. S/he will conduct regular supportive supervision and monitoring of the field level activities and staff. 

Allocation of time and responsibilities of the position:

• Take overall managerial lead role and overview the plan, objectives, working modality, budget, activities and progress of existing and upcoming projects of Tuki : 50% time  allocation.
• Fund raising (Diversification of fund and Seeking of funds from partners/donors: Seeking opportunity, preparation of project proposal and Expression of Interest (EOI), proactive coordination with Nepal governments for seeking  mutual partnership for joint program implementation and fund sharing) : 40% time allocation.
• Documentation, reporting and advoccy 10% time allocation.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

Interested candidates should have completed at least Masters Degree in anyone of Social Science, Development Studies, Education, Management or any other relevant subject areas with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience. Candidate's work experience is count after completion of master degree in similar/not less than this position/responsibility. Preference will be given for the candidate having previous experience in NGO/Cooperative management and organization development. Understanding of federal, provincial and local level government policies to the NGOs and for the relevant projects. Moreover, preference will be given for those candidates who have adequate relevant experiences, trainings and academic qualifications.

SKILLS/QUALITIES:

The candidate should be proactive and be able to perform multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and organizational development skills and should have good knowledge on computer programs and excellent command in oral and written English. Ability and experience of managing number of partners, stakeholders, subordinates and working in time pressure will also be an asset for this position.
