Position Summary

The Electrical Draftsperson supports engineering projects by preparing and updating technical drawings, layouts, and models under the guidance of senior team members. The role involves assisting with drawing coordination, checking dimensions, and supporting project documentation.

The position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow design instructions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support accurate and timely project deliverables.

The successful candidate's role and compensation will be commensurate with their experience and qualifications, with opportunities for Senior positions for the candidates with extensive, relevant experience. 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
• Create detailed plans, elevations, sections, and layouts for electrical, civil, or architectural structures.
• Assist engineers by incorporating changes, markups, and feedback into drawings.
• Support drafting for substation, utility, industrial, commercial, or residential projects.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Structural, and Architectural teams to resolve drawing issues.
• Review vendor drawings and incorporate relevant details into project documents.
• Maintain organized project files, drawings, and revision logs.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, project specifications, and international practices.
• Help prepare simple sketches, diagrams, or construction notes when needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma in Electrical, Civil, or Architecture Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in drafting or design support (freshers with strong skills may apply).
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD; basic knowledge of Revit is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, layouts, and fabrication details.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel and PDF tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience in substation, power, industrial, or commercial projects.
• Knowledge of BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or Civil 3D.
• Experience preparing shop drawings, fabrication drawings, or construction documents.
• Familiarity with U.S. utility or international design standards.
• Applicants with advanced qualifications and greater experience will be prioritized and may be offered a senior role.
