Position Overview

The Child Monitoring Volunteer Tutor (CMVT) plays a vital role in the education and well-being of children supported by HFC. The position involves providing daily academic support, closely monitoring each child’s progress, and ensuring that every child receives the care and guidance needed for holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regular tuition support and assist children with their academic work and learning needs.
  • Monitor children’s school attendance, academic performance, behavior, and overall well-being.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of each child’s progress and prepare periodic monitoring reports.
  • Conduct home and school visits as required to assess the child’s condition and environment.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and project staff to ensure effective child support.
  • Organize educational, moral, and extracurricular activities that promote children’s learning and growth.
  • Ensure that all child safeguarding and protection policies are strictly followed.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and community outreach activities organized by the project.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum +2 completed (Bachelor’s degree preferred) in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or child development programs is desirable.
  • Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, email).
  • Passionate about working with children and committed to child protection principles.
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Work Schedule

  • Part-time: 4 hours per day (Sunday to Friday)
  • Occasional weekend or field activities may be required based on project needs
