Call for Roster of Consultants and Specialists

CREASION invites qualified consultants and specialists to join its roster for short-term assignments across WASH, project management, watershed protection, procurement, M&E, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, circular economy, policy, legal, proposal and report writing, communications, and related fields.

About CREASION

The Center for Research and Sustainable Development Nepal (CREASION) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2005 by a group of environmental practitioners, activists, researchers and philanthropists. Its main office is in Baluwatar, Kathmandu, with a regional office in Bharatpur, Chitwan.

With 21 years of dedicated field experience across Nepal's most underserved communities, CREASION is uniquely positioned to design, implement and support programmes that advance economic empowerment, financial inclusion and community resilience in the climate-vulnerable communities of Nepal.

Committed to a regenerative and circular economy, CREASION transforms overlooked and discarded materials into valuable resources through innovative processing strategies and sustainable resource management. Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it promotes climate resilience, water security, environmental stewardship, youth empowerment, policy advocacy and green job creation, driven by its vision of compassion-based development.

To respond quickly to project needs, CREASION is building a pre-qualified roster of independent consultants and specialists who can be called on for short-term assignments such as assessments, design, technical support, training, reviews and evaluations.

Being on the roster does not guarantee work or create an employment relationship. Roster members are engaged only when an assignment matches their expertise.

How the roster works

  1. Screening. Applications are checked against the eligibility criteria and scored on qualifications, relevant experience and quality of work samples.
  2. Shortlisting and verification. Shortlisted applicants may be interviewed, and referees and credentials will be checked.
  3. Roster entry. Successful applicants are placed in their category and notified in writing. The roster remains valid for [2 years] and may be refreshed or reopened at any time.
  4. Assignments. When a need arises, CREASION shares terms of reference with suitable roster members. Selection is based on fit, availability, past performance and value for money, and may include a short competitive process. Roster members may decline an assignment.
  5. Fees and contracts. Fees are agreed per assignment, in line with CREASION's rates and donor rules. Roster members work as independent consultants under a signed contract and are responsible for their own taxes and insurance.
