Call for Proposal to Conduct Research on UMN’s Disability – Inclusive Development (DID) Project

CALL FOR PROPOSAL TO CONDUCT RESEARCH ON UMN’S DISABILITY-INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT - (DID) PROJECT UNDER UMN NAWALPARASI WEST CLUSTER

United Mission to Nepal (UMN) has been serving the people of Nepal since 1954. UMN, with funding support from Transform Aid International (TAI) Australia, has been implementing Disability Inclusive Development Project in Nawalparasi West Cluster in partnership with a local partner Sunawal Community Development Centre (SCDC-S).

Disability Inclusive Development (DID) is a 6-year project with a focus on disability inclusion that aims to integrate Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and their families in the key developmental themes such as livelihood, education, social inclusion, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and disability rehabilitation. The project has been implemented since Mid-July 2022 in Pratappur and Palhinandan Rural Municipalities of Nawalparasi district.

The project supports the development of the knowledge and skills for the PWDs and their families to enable them to engage in employment or income generation businesses and link their businesses to the market and employers.

This advertisement has been published to invite applications from registered consulting firms to conduct this research work. Details of the research scope, objectives, timeline, methodologies and qualifications for the consultants have been provided in the Terms of Reference (ToR), which can be accessed at www.umn.org.np/consultancy

All interested and experienced consulting firms who meet the requirements and qualifications are encouraged to apply. Application should include a letter of interest, technical proposal, and financial proposal. The application must be submitted to UMN by 14 April 2024 at the latest.
