ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY

United Mission to Nepal (UMN) is an international development organisation which aims to enable the poorest people living in poverty to transform their lives, leading towards fullness of life. As we serve the people of Nepal, multicultural teams of Nepali and volunteer expatriate staff work alongside local organisations in eight districts (six clusters and two hospitals), building partnerships that lead to healthy, dignified, and empowered individuals and transformed communities.

Position: Receptionist and Administrative Officer (Kathmandu Based)

No. of position: 1

The main purpose of this position is to provide efficient administrative and logistical support to the HR and Support Services Team, ensuring smooth reception services and office operations at UMN’s Thapathali offices and across its programmes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in administrative and reception roles, with demonstrated competencies in HR administration, support services, and office logistics.
  • Proven experience in managing mail services, telephone operations, logistics coordination, as well as photocopying and faxing tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Nepali and English, with the ability to translate documents when required.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (particularly Word and Excel); familiar with Nepali typing.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced administrative environment.
