Call for Expression of Interest (EoI) for External Audit Service 

Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh), headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, is a leading Swiss non-governmental organization working in over 25 countries across humanitarian and development contexts. Founded in 1960 and active in Nepal since 1985, Tdh has implemented impactful interventions in Maternal and Child Health, Migration, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH), with a strong focus on Child Protection. All initiatives are carried out in close collaboration with government bodies and civil society organizations to ensure sustainable and child-centered outcomes.

Tdh Nepal Country Office is in process of engaging the audit firm for conducting annual audits for HQ and Government of Nepal, and project audit if required by the donor/s. Tdh requests Expression of Interest (EOI) from the qualified and experienced Chartered Accountants Firms who has already involved in auditing of different International Non-Government Organization especially with European funded donors also, worked in collaboration with an international audit firm. We would like to request you to submit the EOI along with the following documents in a closed envelope marking expression of interest/or through email for performing the audit exercise as per English Calendar and Nepalese fiscal year calendars. The qualified firms must submit the below mentioned documents. 

• Firm registration documents in ICAN
• VAT certificate and legal documents with renewal
• Profile of firm and CV of partners/experts with working experiences with INGOs
• Documents of affiliation with internationally recognized audit firm, if any
• Audit implementation process ad quality control mechanism
• Proof of working relation with international audit firm like E&Y and Swiss Funded INGOs or    bilateral projects
• The report needs to comply with the International Standards on Auditing and Nepal Standards on Auditing. 
• Experience SAGA accounting software will be value added. 
• Proof of working recognition to audit with the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation and its fund projects, EU fund projects and institutional donor funded projects.
• Indicate reasonable annual audits service fees in NPR for both audits (English Calendar and Nepali Statuary of the fiscal year)

Please note that the only selected firms will only be contacted and asked for and negotiated with upon receipt of successful EOI documents later.

No telephone queries will be entertained. The selection procedures of Tdh reflects its commitment towards child protection. Tdh reserves the rights not to select any of the firm.

Deadline to submit EOI: 10th November 2025

Tdh Foundation invites proposals from qualified Chartered Accountancy (CA) firms to conduct the Statutory Audit (SA) of its Nepal Country Office for the Nepali fiscal yar and English Calendar period 2082/83 (2025/26). Term and conduction will be as per TOR issued by HQs and agreement.  The audit will cover the period of one year and must be completed in line with applicable auditing standards and procedures.
