Position Title: Radiology Aid

Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal

Context:

Under the overall supervision of the Chief Migration Health Officer (CMHO) and the direct supervision of the Head Nurse, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities in relation to the Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) and UN Clinic in Kathmandu, Nepal

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

1. Assist all clients attending MHAC for a client friendly service in the Radiology department.

2. To guide clients to relevant department as required. For e.g. Panel physician, nurses, lab etc.

3. Coordinate with Radiographer and take guidance in terms of maintaining the serial.

4. Communicates clearly with the client about the message from the radiology control room, maintains serial/queue.

5. To be present as chaperon for female clients whenever required and asked by Radiographer.

6. Assist all clients in changing dress and asking them to keep valuables and belongings safely.

7. Demonstrate the deep breathing required for taking Chest X Ray. 

8. Assist to call the client for additional views. 

9. Support regular clinic work in absence of other support staffs.

10. Report any fraud attempt or misrepresentation to the radiographer immediately. 

11. Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Education

  • Higher Secondary Certificate/Community medical Assistant or equivalent from accredited Institute with relevant experience in health sector. 

Experience

  • Cross cultural experience.
  • Teamwork oriented with capacity to work independently. 
  • Flexible to work under pressure and willingness for long hours duty.
  • Experience in dealing with clients/patients will be an added advantage.

Languages

Fluency in English, Nepali is required.

Other

Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment. Only Nepali Nationals will be considered for this position.
