Group of Helping Hands (SAHAS) Nepal is a non-profit making non-governmental-organization founded in 1996. SAHAS has been working in remote rural areas focusing on vulnerable and socially excluded families who are derived of development opportunities. SAHAS puts its development efforts towards strengthening the capacities of communities and to create an enabling environment for sustaining development activities by fostering collective efforts of the communities themselves.  

SAHAS Nepal is looking a dynamic and energetic candidate for the following positions:

1. Position: Admin & Finance Officer

Project: "Climate Resilient Livelihoods for Vulnerable and Marginalized Communities of Dailekh and Surkhet Districts of Karnali Province" (CRV project)

Duty Station: Dailekh district

Required number: 1

Academic qualification/experiences:

  • BBS or BBA Accounts with three years experience in Finance and Administrative works
  • Excellent computer skills in Excel, Ms-Word, Power point, skills in Accounting Software
  • Strong commitment to team work with effective communication
  • Motivating leadership, interpersonal skills in languages and efficient team player

Major responsibilities:

  • Budget preparation and implementation 
  • Implementation of the compliance of the government, funding partner and the organization
  • Maintain financial accounts, records daily and financial management
  • Manage day to day logistic, procurement and administrative tasks
  • Financial reporting, analysis, monitoring and follow up of project activities 
  • Maintain safety, secure of the project assets, stock, and keep records of personal files, tax, Social Security Fund etc.

2. Position: Human Resource Assistant

Duty Station: Central Office, Lalitpur district

Required number: 1

Academic qualification/experiences:

  • +2 in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a similar role in a development organization is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Nepali, ability to harmoniously interact with people
  • Knowledge of administrative writing skills, reporting skills and strict adherence to confidentiality
  • Knowledge of Nepali Labor Law
  • Willingness to take initiative, ability to priories and analyze information
  • Excellent computer skill (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, internet)
  • Effective team player and can work under pressure

Major responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to HR department
  • Assist with recruiting tasks such as reviewing resumes, conducting and scheduling interview, hiring and following up with candidates
  • Maintain proper records of employee personal files, leave, attendance, performance evaluation
  • Compile and process employee documentation and records, and keep the employee information up to date
  • Assist the Senior HR Officer with formulating polices, procedure and changes as well as communicating all updates to employees
  • Coordinate orientation and induction sessions for new employees
  • Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their quires

3. Position: Admin and Finance Assistant

Project: Local Initiatives for Food Security Transformation Project (LIFT)

Duty Station: Dhakari Rural Municipality, Achham district

Required number: 1 

Academic qualification/experiences:

  • 10+2 in Business Management or bachelors from recognized university 
  • At least one year of working experience in related field
  • Computer skills –words, excel, power point, skill in Accounting Software.
  • Effective team player and can thrive under pressure

Major responsibilities:

  • Maintain financial accounts and records daily
  • Implementation of the compliance of the government, funding partner and the organization
  • Financial reporting, analysis, monitoring and follow up of project activities
  • Keep records of the SSF, tax and other salary related information of the respective project
  • Maintain safety and secure of the project assets, stock and personal files
  • Day to day procurements, logistic and administration task
